Newly Renovated Gulf Side Condo Palm Bay Club 2BR/2BA #171

If you’re looking for a view, this unfortunately is not the place. The beach area was beautiful and pools were clean. The one pool closest to us was right at office and parking lot, not very appealing. The second pool is across the main road, at end of property on gulf side. This had a nice view. The decor and bedroom furniture is different than what is posted, but still nice. The reclining sofa was broken on one side, but still reclined, and the icemaker on fridge was broken. This was the first VRBO that I stayed at where there were no paper towels! Not a big deal, but they do come in handy at times. Woke up first morning to some kind of “bug” dead on kitchen floor.

The property and area are beautiful … our only concerns were the odd faucet in master bath that gets counter wet and door and locking mechanism very hard to open … finally learned technique but not much informational help …also pool in main area needs to be open later and not sure if it was properly cleaned when someone pooped in it … lastly Frog Hop / bus service a HUGE help

My husband loves to cook and he found everything he needed in the kitchen in terms of cookware and appliances. We found the beds and furniture to be comfortable. The living room recliners were the best! We ended up ordering the same recliners for our own home. The bathrooms were updated and we had no issues. There are even extra beach chairs and a little cooler that came in handy. There was a drying rack we used on the patio for our wet bathing suits. There were plenty of pillows and covers. The owners did an excellent job in anticipating what a family might need. This unit would have been perfect had their been a washer and dryer. However, we never waited for a washer/dryer when we needed it and we were able to wash/dry our clothes with ease. The communal laundry area was clean and well lit. The laundry card was easy to use. We just wished we could do it from the comfort of our own unit as we have small children. I do have to concur with some of the complaints. A family on the first floor brought an inflatable pool for their kids and placed in on their patio. I could hear absolutely everything being said. Whether you opened or closed the patio door, it made no difference in terms of noise. Luckily for us, the family left the next day. But the units have no sound proofing whatsoever. Nevertheless, the area is generally very quiet. The beach had red algae during our stay which was a bummer. You can still use the beach as it is deemed “safe”; however, it grossed us out due to the dead fish washed up on shore. We expected the crystal blue water and only got to see that on our last day. You can checkout the condition of the beaches online before you head out. The pool is clean. We didn’t get to use the tennis courts but they looked well kept. We already
