Location for snorkelling was great.

The burning off of rubbish on my night of my stay, filled my room with smoke. This smoke is extremely hazardous as burnt plastic is toxic. This is an unfortunate position for locals and the hotel, with the government refusing to provide rubbish disposal services and closing the rubbish tips.

The view is lovely, and sleeping to the sound of the ocean is very relaxing. Being able to walk directly onto the beach and snorkel is great. The pool is clean and refreshing. Not really a lay and relax pool as it is a thoroughfare and right next to the restaurant. However there are comfy loungers for use. The room is very basic. But comfortable and adequate.

The linen and towels are old, and could really do with being replaced. The towels we had were stained, which didn't look great. The bathroom is very basic. There was a water jug in the room, which wasn't ideal. We went and bought bottled water. I feel it is probably a premium price for thre area and condition of the facilities. In saying that, it was absolutely fine for a 2 star hotel. And you are paying for the view and convenience of direct water access.

Best hotel on Lipah beach

This was our third stay at Vienna Beach. It's a truly great place with a friendly vibe and wonderful staff. You can't fault it. I look forward to returning someday.

Beautiful Bali Getaway

I loved so much about this little place! Location was fabulous, with snorkeling right off the beach. We had easy access to taxis and were able to get around town. The employees were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed talking with everyone, including Sasa, the owner and felt right at home. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the balcony or in the seats at the restaurant that faced the ocean, watching the waves. Perfect stay!

Perfect place to relax, enjoy the views and snorkel

My room was on the water with a comfortable seating area outside. It’s easy to access good snorkeling right in front of the property. The restaurant was good too… I especially appreciated the many gluten free options. It’s a ways from Amed proper.

Mosquitos in the room, although bed has a mosquito net that did the trick.

Great location, service okay

The location is excellent, right next to the reef in front of the hotel, where you can enjoy wonderful snorkeling. The rooms were clean and the staff who took care of the rooms were extremely friendly. Water (1L) was refilled daily.

The reception staff did not seem particularly friendly or welcoming by Bali standards. Our bags were brought to our room, but no explanations were given—which is usually standard practice (safe, breakfast times, etc.). Arrival and departure were very cold. The breakfast options are very limited for the price. There are about 7 options to choose from—it looks fancy, but the portions are small and the taste is just okay. You can choose between a hot drink, juice, or fruit—actually, all options should be included at this price. Service was so-so. Overall for the price disappointing. Privacy in the ground floor rooms is an issue. Strangers constantly walk past the rooms to access the beach, which doesn't really create a feeling of privacy and relaxation (there are probably 50-70 guests walking past every day). It's great to see the sea from your room, but when people are constantly staring at you as they walk by, it's not so great—an easy fix would be to put more plants in place if you want strangers walking through the grounds. No sunbeds on the beach, only by the pool. The pool is small and the sunbeds are next to the restaurant, so relaxation is limited.

Our favorite stay in Lipah Beach

Great little hotel with an excellent vibe. The staff are wonderful, the food and drinks are great, the location is great, the room good. Excellent snorkelling right out front. There are some 'day trippers' using the facilities and restaurant between 10am - 4pm, otherwise the place is very quiet. The hotel is well managed and maintained. The wi-fi has recently been upgraded.

The rooms are becoming a tiny bit dated. Whilst the food in the restaurant is top notch, the prices are about 20% higher than comparable places in the area.

Great location for snorkelling. Ground floor units are better if you do a lot of snorkelling. Coral Reef and sandy beach for turtles. Staff were friendly. Great sea views.

Beautiful Location

Loved the location and beautiful views. It was right on the beach, perfect for snorkeling.

Loved everything and will stay again. The only thing I would have to say wasn't quite so good was the number of people walking through the resort everyday from other resorts to get to the beach and they'd use the few lounge chairs at the pool.

Sadly disappointed due to the unhygienic facilities especially the pool so decided to leave early

The location of the room was great and the seaview was amazing, the food was nice especially the satay chicken.

The resort appeared to be open to non staying guests so many cars and minibuses arrived to use the restaurant and swmming pool and taking up all the sunbeds. What dissapointed us the most and prompted us to leave a day early was a member of staff or friend of the owner/staff decided to exfoliate his whole body removing dead and dry skin with a stone in the pool, it was disgusting and left us in a position to no longer be abke to use the pool - there was clearly no point in raising this with the hotel as the man clearly was a friend or worked there and none of the staff confronted him and seemed bothered by his actions so we guess he does this on a regular basis!

The bed was very comfortable, room was spacious, the bathroom was very spacious with amenities. Bonus was having a ceiling fan in the bedroom and on the balcony. Lovely gardens. The staff were helpful. The location is just the best for snorkelling, relaxing

The property and staff and food is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! the hotel is very clean and the rooms are beautiful. after a couple days, the staff will know you by name. if you are going to Amed, you must stay here. The beach is gorgeous and right there. they have a lovely breakfast and happy hour. We met so many lovely people from all over the world. I can’t wait to come back and visit! No resort beach beds or snorkel. Had to hire and pay for everything. Far from the main hustle and bustle but okay restaurants walking distance. Resort pool was also right next to the restaurant so it was not really private for guests.

Excellent. Location could not have been better, right on the beach with a very short swim to the reef. The room was a good size, clean and well maintained. Breakfasts were good as was the on site restaurant. Staff were very helpful and friendly. If we ever return to Amed we would definitely choose Vienna Beach Resort.

Wonderful little boutique resort, ocean views from all rooms, couldn’t fault it

We booked 3 rooms. Fabulous vibe around the pool/bar/restaurant area. It was exactly what we were looking for in our family trip. Lovely staff, especially the young female housekeeper in training, she was so lovely and friendly.

The snorkelling from the beach was awesome and the food and cocktails was good.

Showers didn’t drain and would flood the floor. Gaps in the front doors which were locked with a bit of timber on the inside I’ll fitting padlock on the outside.
