Amed Paradise Warung & House Bali

Staff are excellent, the food is authentic and tasty, the fruit juices delightful. The staff assisted in arranging activities like snorkeling, silver working, trips and tours. There is an associated property with a roof-top restaurant worth a stop just a few doors down and up some stairs.

The road outside is in a bit of a state. Give it some time and things will improve, as roadworks are progressing and improving, but currently walking around outside is a challenge.

Loved that the property was right in front of the beach and walking distance from eateries and dive shops.

The view was brilliant and there was awesome snorkelling just across the road. Roman took us on a snorkelling tour and found turtles for us to swim with. The meals were high quality and delicious. That was all great, but the best thing about this place. was the excellence of the service. Kadek was front of house and infused our interractions with a fun, energetic and easy warmth. But the whole team were delightful. We noticed that many members of the exceptional staff are longterm employees. They seemed proud of their beautiful Amed Paradise and that made a difference in every aspect of our experience.

The villas are beautiful, but the thatching doesn't block noise. On the first night, we fell asleep to the sound of waves lapping at the beach. On the second night, we were woken at 2.30am, when our noisy bogan neighbour arrived. She spent the next hour excitedly/screechingly settling herself and adult kids in. The next night, they played music through speakers - sharing their banal music tastes, which we suffered through until midnight. The volume of their voices battled their awful music. While their self important attitudes would have had less impact on us if the rooms were soundproofed, that would not have been an issue if they'd behaved with better manners. Amed Paradise is a few kilometres away from more central and serviced parts of Amed. It was a bit too hot for walking, but the hotel supplied a driver for us at very reasonable price.
