The accommodations and food were excellent. The presentation of the food was similar to what you would get at a high end restaurant, but the prices are much lower. The food was so good we didn't bother to eat anywhere else.

Beautiful property with very kind and attentive staff. The grounds were meticulously cared for and rooms were comfortable with a nice open air bathroom.
WiFi connection was poor

Awesome staff, outstanding room
Best facilities from sunset boat trips, diving the Japanese wreck, or just renting the snorkelling mask, we loved all of it, and we had a massage, so we would highly recommend this Hotel
Negotiating the slippery rocks when getting in and out of the sea but, well worth it because the snorkelling is amazing

The location & the relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food. We decided to upgrade to room with Ocean view which was fabulous.
The fact that we couldn’t easily swim in the sea from the hotel as stony beach made it difficult to get in but not far from a lovely sandy beach 5-10mins walk away.

Beautiful place on rock beach
Food was great.
Morning juice very watered down could barely taste the fruit
Our balcony had no comfortable seating
No table and chairs
Staff trying to charge us double price for scooter hire and fins used for 10 mins. Everything seemed about money

The highlight of our trip. It feels like home, so so nice, caring and lovely people to welcome us and help us through our stay.

The helpful staff, great food ,pool, location overlooking water, bungalow and surrounding gardens. Owners very helpful in organising our departure with driver and booking our boat tickets . Beautiful resort.
Due to large rocks on beach, the water is not really accessible from resort for us oldies but great views to relax by.

Our ocean front room was amazing - so close to the waves crashing on the rocks in front. One morning we had a beautiful view of the sunrise over Mt Rinjani over Lombok. We absolutely loved watching the local boats sailing on the horizon and coming in each morning right on to the stone beach. So many of them! Being taken out for a sail on one of them was a highlight. We also hired a scooter and turned left away from Amed to ride through the scenic hills, villages and views of more bays of even more boats on the stone beaches. The food here was excellent. We always chose Indonesian dishes. But the creme brûlée was delicious for dessert.
The waves were a bit rough and difficult to enter the water when we were there. We would have had to go else where to snorkel which we didn’t want to. A small thing which is fairly typical in Indonesia is that sometimes the staff call out loudly to one another or have loud conversations in the kitchen reception area while we were dining and close to the guests elsewhere within the pool & sun lounge area. Also coming to water the plants with a hose within centimetres right next to where we were relaxing on the sun lounges was unnecessarily intrusive. But other than that the staff were very friendly and helpful.
***Also please consider local artwork of the jukongs or similar rather than the fake awful ‘art’ on the wall behind our bed! Better to support local artists than have abstract prints!

Staff are very friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. There's plenty of nature and farmland around, and the skin diving is great. We chose the position because it's 6km from the main centre of Amed, but I would recommend you hire a scooter while you are there to get around.
A small ramp or steps to make it easier to get into the water.

Room was great, excellent view of the sea and sunrise. Restaurant offered simple and tasty food and was right on the rocky beach. Loved watching the fishing boats (jukung) return in the morning over breakfast. Pool was refreshing and tucked away with a nice shady area (or sunny) as the mood took us. Really enjoyed the snorkelling and sunset 'cruises' in a jukung... much more stable than they look!
Beach was rocky and steep... difficult to get in and out of the water, but the snorkelling was spectacular. Long way to get to Amed so long drive (= less people).

Staff lovely, and food excellent. Very clean everywhere with beautifully maintained gardens. Location is away from the centre, and ideal if you want somewhere peaceful and quiet, and have your own transport (we rented a motorbike) to explore the area. Garden rooms are ground floor so only one or two steps.
Some small additions to the room - a shelf for soap/shampoo in the shower(s), better ventilation in the room (maybe fly screens on the doors?), better lighting (bedside lights were mood lighting, rather than reading lights) and some clothes hanging space or drawers in the room. And for swimming/snorkelling direct from the hotel, maybe some sort of ramp or handle would make getting in and out over the rocks easier.

I received a surprise upgrade to a room facing the sea so that was a wonderful surprise! The room was very large, clean and the bathroom was beautiful - open area with a lovely mountain view. Room had fan and air conditioning which was a bonus and not expected. Great location on the beach, lovely sea views and during breakfast you can see the fishing boats coming in. Staff were helpful in meeting my dietary requirements and Ari and his team helped with driving and planning my daily excursions. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood.

Nalini was about 20 mins outside of Amed, away from the main road and so it was incredibly peaceful. It is right by the beach front and you can lounge on deck chairs by the pool or by the beach, enjoying the sound of the waves, and eat your meals with a view of the ocean. The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are spacious and clean. I especially liked the open concept bathroom with furniture I could wash and dry my swimmers on. I rented snorkelling equipment from the reception and walked to the nearby Japanese shipwreck - it was an interesting and simple swim, so this location is really prime for all the benefits that comes with it. The food was also good. I loved the breakfasts, you have many options to choose from, and the staff were always on hand to help. I stayed there for 4D3N and wish I could have extended further!
Not a dislike per se, but the open concept bathroom means there were little worms and tiny crabs that would be around the bathroom. I took it as part of the experience and the crabs were pretty cute! Also as the road to get to the resort has many pot holes, and the drive is long and windy, I didn't feel confident to rent a scooter - maybe the resort can consider a free shuttle service to and from Amed, share with other resorts in the same area.

Nalini Resort is beachfront and we loved watching the fishing boats go out each morning. The restaurant serves beautiful food and all the staff were friendly and went out of there way to make sure we had a memorable stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.

Ari and his family do a fantastic job running their family resort, on the beach at Amed.
The room was a good size, great location with the pool near our room.
We had a beautiful dinner at the resort overlooking the ocean.
The Japanese ship wreck is very close to the resort, with great snorkeling.
We loved our short b stay at the Nalini, and hope to go back again. Highly recommend.

We stayed in an ocean view room which had the most wonderful views, it is so close to the ocean that you can hear the rocks rolling on the beach that was churned up by the waves. The rooms were amazing. The beds were comfortable , the outdoor bathrooms awesome.
The views from the pool was beautiful.
Watching the fishing boats every morning was very enjoyable
The live music on our last night by an Australian couple spoiled the atmosphere of this lovely oceanfront resort. We would rather listen to local artists or the ocean while having dinner .

Ocean front and direct access to snorkeling off the beach . Really lovely friendly staff and management - a small resort so they really look after you. Food was lovely too .
So far away from Ahmed and other facilities, but really I did not feel the need to leave in 2 nights I stayed there.

This is the definition of a ‘hidden gem’. You will quite literally be hidden when at this resort in beautiful Amed. There are no distractions except for the sounds of the surf and the excellent food prepared by the great staff. The sunrise viewed from our spacious balcony was magical. The ocean was warm and inviting. The Japanese Shipwreck is a short swim away (note this is ocean swimming so it will be more difficult than swimming in a pool). Snorkeling equipment is offered by the resort. If you need television, the TV has all the streaming services and regular Indonesian channels. They even had board games and books in the lobby area. My wife smoked me in Scrabble played on our balcony while listening to the rocks on the beach being pulled in and out by the surf. The outdoor bathroom is the show stopper. My wife and I didn’t know we needed an outdoor bathroom experience in our lives until this trip to Indonesia. This is the second outdoor bathroom we have had. If the first one in Labaun Bajo was great, this one was awesome. We only stayed for a night but managed to take 3 showers! From our upstairs room, our bathroom view from the two showers featured tall green jungle mountains. We could have stayed here for a week and been happy never leaving the resort. The staff was the best and it felt as if my wife and I were being personally catered to. I can’t recommend any more highly a place for quiet relaxation in Amed, Bali.
There was nothing to not like, but there are some things that a traveler wanting the ultimate relaxation should know before booking.
First, the resort is hidden on a very small and busy rural coastal road. It is recommended to have a driver take you and pick you up so you don’t have to navigate this road.
Second, you are 30-45 minutes from many touristy places in Amed. If you book this resort, plan on being at the resort. If you must go to Amed, please have the resort organize a driver.
Third, since the road is very busy and isn’t without significant potholes, don’t think ‘We can get scooters to go to the center of Amed’. Having ridden a scooter in Bali in Candidasa to the Virgin Beach, I would NOT get on a scooter on this road.
Fourth, if you are sightseeing Bali, this is not where you need to stay. You will spend much time navigating the small road in and out before you really get to bigger roads to like Tirta Gangga or Heaven’s Gate. Have a driver take you to famous places on the way to or from the resort.
Fifth, the beach is not a normal beach. It is compromised of millions of flat stones. Getting in and out of the water is challenging but very doable with practice. There is a green rope secured to a post that can help you in and out of the water.
Sixth, since the beach isn’t ‘beachy’ and entertainment options are limited, this might not be the best resort for kids. The resort does offered tours and snorkeling/diving trips though if your kids would be happy with that.
Like I said though, nothing of these compromised my enjoyment of this resort, and I would book again in a heartbeat!

Staying at Nalini is like staying with family. We felt so relaxed, warm and welcomed. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The food is next level amazing and we'd smuggle the cook home with us if we could. We had no desire whatsoever to leave the resort restaurant for another in Amed. Januare and Ari are the nicest hosts you'd ever hope to meet. Snorkel gear is available to hire, and you can head into the water directly in front of the resort. The pool is clean and well-shaded with plenty of lounges. On our last night, the young girls in the family-run business performed several traditional Balinese dances for the diners...who doesn't love dinner and a show!! I can't recommend Nalini highly enough.
Not a criticism, merely suggestions: The pillows could do with an upgrade, and "Karang" suite could do with a desk or similar.

The location is amazing, just in front of the sea with beautiful views from the balcony. It is a bit far from Amed village (by walk) but totally worth it. The staff are very helpful and smiling all the time. We enjoyed our short stay very much.
The rain shower needs some maintenance 😌

The food was excellent. The staff very helpful and friendly. It was quiet and peaceful.the pool wonderful, the massages very good.
Something that was not mentioned when. I booked. There are big rocks leading down to the sea, and not easily manageable if you were not young and agile. It prevented us from swimming and snorkling in the sea.
