We stayed as a family of 5.

The staff were super friendly and accomodating. It is very close to the beach and a good snorkelling spot. The pool at the resort is a good size and split across two levels. The breakfast was nice and we requested to have it in our room. Great views from the balcony out over the ocean.

We booked through booking.com with a filter for a family of 5. We we arrived, the were only beds for 4, and no option to add another bed. Our 7 year old daughter, had to sleep with us which wasnt ideal.

Perfect

The hotel is beautiful and the view is absolutely stunning. The room offers an exceptional sea view, and the bedding is extremely comfortable, which made my stay very pleasant. The room is also very well equipped with everything you need. The staff is very kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Putu for her kindness and availability — she truly made a difference. There are two restaurants nearby: a Warung and a small trattoria. Both can deliver lunch and dinner directly to the hotel, and you can also enjoy dining at their restaurants. The beach is great and you can swim without any problem. However, it’s recommended to bring water shoes to protect your feet. If you plan to visit the city center or explore the area, having a scooter is highly recommended. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place.

MOUSE in room!

The view was nice

MOUSE in my room! Unfortunately due to the small gap in the door, a mouse found its way into my room at night. Reception non responsive for ages. Now the owner doesn’t answer me or booking . Com when I am requesting a refund for one night because I didn’t sleep even after changing room at 2am and had to leave early the next day. The hotel is empty, no guests, therefore not cleaned properly. Smell of mould inside. So many nicer places nearby!!

Wonderful hotel, with fantastic views, great snorkelling, and lovely helpful and friendly staff.

Lovely small hotel, set up on a hill with wonderful views of the ocean. The sandy beach makes accessing the ocean much easier to enjoy the wonderful snorkelling that is available right in front of the hotel. All rooms have a balcony with ocean views, are kept immaculately clean, with a comfortable bed and well furnished. The staff are all fantastic. Very friendly, helpful and genuine care that you enjoy your stay.

Fantastic

The service was great, and the staff were very accommodating. When I needed the bathroom refreshed, it was taken care of right away. The staff arranged a snorkeling trip for me, which was a highlight, and recommended a nearby restaurant within a two-minute walk, which was absolutely perfect. The property is right on the beachfront; just a few steps down and you’re in the sea. Highly recommend! I look forward to returning.

The bathroom has a damp problem, however the staff ensured the room was refreshed right away, and did not bother me during the rest of my stay. When leaving the hotel, I kept the AC on the whole time, and the bathroom extractor fan on, which resolved the issue. The staff told me they will look into this to resolve the issue permanently, and I am sure they will. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

We didn’t want to leave!

The property was beautiful, quiet and serene. The hotel staff made our stay even better. Thank you Putu, Dayu, and Wayan for your hospitality! The entire staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful! If we needed anything at all, they went out of their way to help, and right away too! They helped us with scooter rentals and taxis, wall plug adapters, laundry and more. The pool is beautiful and relaxing, the beach sandy and calm. We went snorkeling at a few spots in Amed and right outside the hotel was our favorite. Spectacular snorkeling. The breakfast they offer was delicious, and two very good restaurants are in close walking distance to the hotel which we ate dinner at frequently.

The beach right in front has tricky waters to go snorkeling also beware do not swing out too far out, there's a obvious rip current. Take reef shoes if you plant to swim there, but better to use only as a place to stay, there's much better swimming beaches.

Very relaxing hotel in Amed with beautiful views

This was an excellent hotel for us to stay in and take a break from the busy parts of Bali. We had a beautiful and spacious room with a view overlooking the ocean from our balcony, which had two chairs and a drying rack. The hotel breakfast was excellent and I would highly recommend including it in your stay because food options in the area are sparse. The breakfast area was also beautiful with sweeping views of the beach and ocean. The staff were very helpful and arranged laundry service and bike rentals, plus snorkeling rentals which were very fun to use right outside the hotel on the beach. The pool area is very relaxing to hang out in and the bar regularly tends to you for your drink order while you relax. Ultimately, an excellent choice to stay for a few days and slow down on your Balinese vacation.

Unfortunately, the location of the hotel is not very convenient, but Amed is not a busy area. All restaurants and amenities stretch along the main road on the coastline, so any hotel on the main road will have limited options around it. Grab is also almost non-existent in the area, so you have to rent a bike or walk to get anywhere else. The roads in Amed are really rough and dusty from construction, so if you don't want to risk renting a bike, walking is your only option, and there are really not many amenities within walking distance at all. This is going to be the case anywhere you stay in Amed, so it's not entirely a negative, just something to be aware of. While we stayed, the hotel was not open for dinner service, so the only choices for dinner were the italian restaurant and local warung.

Perfect, peaceful getaway after the chaos of more touristy places in Bali

The hotel was clean and new and very well kept. The staff went out of their way to keep us happy. We could not have asked for a better beach to be based at - the snorkeling was some of the best I have ever done, just walking into the water from the hotel! You can rent all the equipment from the front desk.

Not much! It’s a little far out from the main part of town and difficult to get to and from if you don’t rent a scooter. But two lovely restaurants nearby meant we didn’t really have to leave!

Beautiful place to stay in Amed area

At the start of our Bali trip we booked a couple nights here. We loved it and extended a few more nights. Then after a couple weeks exploring Lombok we came back here because we loved it so much. The location is perfect, on a nice beach with easy swim access to a beautiful coral garden. We easily swam west 400 meters to snorkel the Japanese shipwreck. The double decker infinity pool looking over the sea is wonderful. You can order snacks and cocktails to enjoy by the pool. The breezy dining deck is perfect for breakfast. For dinners, there are excellent restaurant and warung options easy walking distance from the hotel. The rooms were comfortable with a nice balcony, good AC and soft beds. Staff here are wonderful. Special thanks to Putu, Wayan and Diyu for excellent service.

Be aware that the rooms do not come with a mini refrigerator, however we were told they are available on request.

Great place to snorkel, swim, fish and soak up the serenity of Amed.

Beautiful views, great snorkelling at the beach in front of hotel. Pool was large and gardens well maintained. Rooms newely renovated. A couple of restaurant options nearby which also deliver to hotel. Hotel has a simple but sufficient breakfast menu available. Perfect place to stay a few days, relax and unwind. Staff were so helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help organise a nice birthday cake for my daughter. After a successful fishing trip, the staff even cooked it up for us to enjoy 💕 would definitely book again!

Getting around without a scooter is difficult and a bit pricey. We went into Amed once, but actually it was fine as the hotel was the perfect place for us anyway . One of the bathrooms in the room had a problem with smell. As there were two, we kept the smelly bathroom closed. They tried a couple of times to fix it but actually without success.

Loved it!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff are awesome, and the property is clean, beautiful, quiet, and secluded. The restaurant next door has top-tier Italian food - delivered directly to you. The pool is great. The beach is clean! Beautiful water, no rubbish, and not a single person hassling you. Beds and pillows comfy, blackout curtains,.smart TV, cold AC, plenty of space in the suite. Rooms are new and.the entire property including the pool is immaculately clean. Being able to order coffee, juice, food from from room/pool was a vibe. Quiet and chilled out, not crowded, with guests being mostly couples doing their own thing. Staff were super cool and kindly helped to get me a doctor when I was really sick. We wish we'd known about this hotel earlier in our trip! Highly recommend.

The nightly sewerage smell from the shower drains was bad - but this seems to be in every hotel in Bali. People moved in above our room and the lack of soundproofing meant they kept us awake A LOT. We could hear absolutely everything. Much more water needed in room, or to be able.to refill ourselves would have been great. Lack of vegan options at breakfast.

A good hotel but without own cooked meals and if you have bad luck, pretty noisy due to the road.

I liked the pool and the private beach. The rooms were comfortable and the staff is very friendly. I cannot tell about the food as we had breakfast somewhere else and the food for dinner, that you get, is done by an external restaurant (Trattoria Amed).

I was in the Hotel in 2018 when it was still called Amed dream hotel. Back in time there was a restaurant in the hotel and over all the experience was much better. There is no lunch nor dinner in the hotel. It´s ordered from a nearby restaurant. If you have the room on the same floor like the reception, you get the full noise from the street. Honking scooters and trucks. It´s really annoying if you want to find some sleep. Close off the wall up there to block the noise from the street please. I asked in the booking to have rooms on the lower floors. Either accept the wish of the customer or simply don´t offer the choice If you don´t have rooms available. The staff at the reception started chatting at 6am, and I had my room right next to the reception. Same here, if you want to sleep that´s not really nice. And something minor...I asked to get a coke and a tea...at 8pm...probably not the only one that ordered something. But 15 minutes waiting for a tea and a can of coke?

Aug 2025 Lovely hotel, with incredible views and access to a fantastic snorkelling area. Rooms have recently been reburbished - and are incredibly comfortable and the whole hotel is spotless. The sound & views of the beautiful beach & waves makes this hotel really stand out.

Only negatives were the number of steps (I have dodgy knees) and the lack of restaurant for evening meal. Though, had a decent breakfast and lunch pizza takeout. Also could do with a few more sun chairs at the pool.

Location, staff and area were FANTASTIC! What a surprise!

This stay was unexpected as we only booked it to visit The Gate of Heaven. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the peaceful location and beautiful hotel. All the rooms had a beach view and was spacious for a luxurious stay. The price was great for what we got. Although the Ibus Hotel does not serve food (yet), the nearby Italian restaurant delivered to our room or wherever we were on the property. The staff arranged snorkeling and a trip to The Gate of Heaven for us at a really good price. Amed is definitely a hidden gem, with a lot less traffic and some great restaurants. Loved every second of our stay and will next time book for longer.

Great views, clean pool, restaurant lunch was good.

A bit far from town. We only stayed one night. But, shower was broken, could only splash water on body from water pouring out of the wall pipe, hairdryer was broken, tv didn’t work and we could hear an animal in the ceiling running around. I did inform the staff of all the problems.

Waste of time and money

Location was fine and on entry everything looked ok

Smelly toilet. Asked to fix. Previous visitor must have noticed. TV did not work. Meal was tuna steak, tough as leather and inedible. Sent it back. Waiter offered a 25% discount. Worst meal I have ever been given in a hotel. Went for a massage, foot reflexology and the lady said she could not do. There was no one else there. The manager is hands off to allow maintenance to drop, ambivalent staff just waiting to home, meal quality. Booked for 3 days and left after one. Manager offered to relocate my room, however it was about the overall quality. Booking. Com need to take some oversight on the ratings. I read the reviews. They were current but clearly incorrect.

Don't miss this place next time your visiting Amed

Amed Dream is set in Paradise just a stones throw from the Japanese Shipwreck and golden sand. It is around a 10 minute scooter ride from Jemeluk in a very peaceful part of Amed. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and the birds was heaven. You can see the most incredible sunrise from your balcony, or whilst lying in bed! The beds were really comfortable with larger than life pillows, and the bathroom is equipped with everything you need and a nice big shower with great water pressure. There was plenty of options for a delicious breakfast on the terrace restaurant overlooking the ocean, and although we didn't have time to eat dinner there, the menu looks inviting. The beach bar has a great vibe, and we were lucky to be treated on our first night to some local live music. But the best part about Amed Dream has to be their staff, Jafar the manager is the hostest with mostest, and treated us like part of the family the moment we arrived. He helped us extend our wifi connection in the room, arranged airport transfers, and drove us around on our final day, helping us locate some forgotten personal items and joined us for some dinner. His staff we so attentive, professional, but down to earth, and made us feel really welcomed and comfortable. We are so glad we made the last minute decision to leave Ubud and come to Amed for our last two days in Bali, a rare find, that we will make sure is placed on the tourist map. We can't wait to come back and see all the awesome things you have planned for the Amed Dream come to life ♡ Thanks to our driver who drove us to the airport (I'm sorry we didn't catch your name) and thank you to Amed Dream for the best last two days of our trip. The place to stay in Amed

- The view from the balcony is amazing - You can listen to the sound of waves during the night - The staff is very friendly - The dadar gulung and the mie goreng we had for breakfast are delicious - The location is quite remote, therefore quiet - Stargazing at night on the beach is an amazing experience

- I wish they would add a "Do not disturb/Please clean my room" sign in the rooms - The WiFi connection could be improved, especially since due to the remote location there's no mobile connection

Stinking bathroom

Perfect location. Right at the beach. Beautiful black sand. Corals within 3 meters in the sea. Shallow water. Beautiful sea view. Balcony.

The bathroom stinks, sorry to say but just not possible. For a hotel the room of cleaning yourself... How, even after telling the staff several times there was no offer of changing rooms or deep cleaning the bathroom. Tom today we're not sure where the stench came from. It smelled like mould and onions. Seriously! Breakfast: the options are very limited. The vegan breakfast is a raw toast without crust with scrambled tofu. When I told them it would be enough they must said I'd have to order and pay for anything else. But the"special breakfast" had all vegan options besides the sausage, bacon and egg. But take away the bacon and sausage, substitute the egg with tofu scrambel and leave the potato, spinach, salad. When going over to suggesting to substitute one of the elements of one breakfast menu with one of the other. They did but charged extra without saying so. I think the manager needs to get better staff and tell them to communicate better. Besides that they are very friendly

Exceptional

Everything was great, the view is amazing, the beach is clean and you meet many beautiful fish in the water. Japanese shipwreck is just steps away. The pool is so great, we will comeback again. 2 nights is not enough
