This is a budget hotel and we use it every year for a night and it works well for us.

Convenience ground floor and restaurant and lovely staff , and very reasonable price

The bedroom is in need of decoration and some repairs , so a little work would go a long way.

A good place to stay that could be great with a few small improvements.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the beds are comfortable, the quality of the breakfast is good, the location is perfect for walking into town and the wifi is good. Also parking is easy.

I asked for a quiet room but it was right by the car park and near the main door so I had people coming and going all night. Also, there was a low but obtrusive electrical hum which kept me awake for a while. In fairness, this was absent on the second night. Breakfast is good but would be improved by more hot options, especially during the colder months.

Last night before crossing channel back to UK. Picked this hotel for location and nostalgia.

Fantastic location. We had stayed here a few times many years ago. Looks like they are making some improvement to the rooms as ours had a relatively new bathroom.

Good beach location, near to the Eurotunnel, comfy bed and pillows, bath and shower, kettle, good for parking.

No charging points in the room, the Wi-Fi said it was free but would not connect.

Brilliant location but one night was enough.

Staff were lovely, very pleasant and helpful. Evening meal was good value. The location is fabulous parking available the sea view as advertised was from the window at the side of the hotel, you could see the sea.

Small room, 2 thin towels, small bathroom, uncomfortable bed and pillows although bedding was clean, the whole hotel is in need of refurbishment, considering its position it could be an outstanding hotel. The wifi constantly went on and off. Paper cups for tea and coffee we could also only find two plug sockets one of which was in the bathroom with the light switch which we found very strange.

TV in the room door suddenly came on at full volume at about 1 a.m Couldn’t reach reception as doors weber locked. On the corridor met a woman just arriving for that room & she turned the TV off. ( How had it come on?)A man arrived shortly afterwards in the room - a door between our rooms so we could hear everything -Literally - the most horrendous night ever despite our knocking to let them know we were there. We were going to leave & sleep in the car when I then found the number for the hotel reception and phoned. The man from reception came & moved them to another room. The worst night ever & the offer of a free breakfast had no appeal. Nothing could remove from my head the sounds I heard that night. Appalling & definitely not what you expect in a seaside hotel.

There was ants all over one of the rooms which bit my kinship son and the person in charge did not offer any compensation for that like a huge discount as the room was infested with ants in the morning they were everywhere.

Poor Sound proofing. I’ve never known a hotel with such a problem with the doors to each individual room. Endless slamming of doors. Very noisy and difficult to sleep.

A very good find last year so we returned this year and will again in future.

Easy to find. Easy to access. Parked directly outside the room and one can enter via inner door or garden door. Briging in the luggage via the garden door is so convenient. Ground floor bedroom as I requested as I am partially disabled. Very nice restaurant a few yards from our bedroom where we had our evening meal and breakfast next morning.

Had to move one bed a bit to get through garden door but this is NOT a problem.

Good Location, But Some Issues with Cleanliness and Comfort

We needed a hotel for one night near the port, and this was the “cheapest” option available. Positive aspects: • The location was perfect for what we needed. • Huge parking area. • The receptionist who welcomed us was very kind, and the staff at the adjacent restaurant were truly amazing. • The restaurant itself was very nice; the Aperol Spritz and beer were excellent, as well as the charcuterie board. Prices were also reasonable, which is surprising for a port area. • The room was very basic, but I wasn’t expecting more, so that was fine. • The bathroom had only a single soap for both body and hair and just two towels, but I appreciated the hairdryer. So, all in all, it was acceptable. • The Wi-Fi in the rooms worked very well.

Though, not that cheap, considering we paid €60 for one night without breakfast. The room was not clean – we found hair in the bathtub, and the “Do Not Disturb” sign was sticky. • The corridor had a TERRIBLE smoke smell. It made me feel really sick, as the smell even entered the room. • The door didn’t feel very secure – you could only pull it shut, but there was no way to properly lock it from the inside. • The hotel is a bit old, but nothing too dramatic. It’s great if you just need a place to stay for one night before taking the ferry the next day. I would stay here again… but they really need to fix the smoke smell because it was overwhelming and completely unacceptable for non-smokers.

Nice place if you looking for place to only sleep not stay for longler.

I really liked the location and very easy access to the car and the beach. I really enjoyed the dinner, the food was excellent. It's very easy to be there with animals. The room was perfect for sleeping, the beds were comfortable, the room seemed clean, however there was a strong unpleasant smell in the room and bathroom. The smell was so intense that it affected the quality of our rest.

This modest hotel is very good value for money. It is great to have the restaurant on site, so that you can switch off in preparation for travel the following day. The location is great (sea front); not far from Eurotunnel. The breakfast is basic but adequate. The staff are good.

Some hair left on the floor at the base of the bath. Otherwise, clean bathroom and room.
