good value and adequate for a one night stop

This was a stopover on a last minute trip to Lille for work, on the whole the Hotel was good value and adequate for my needs . The room was small but comfortable and the bathroom extremely small , however this was adequate for my purpose. The food in the restaurant was limited but good. I needed a taxi to get me to Frethun station for an 8.07 train , however the reception were unable to find a taxi that could pick me up before 8.30 , so the young chap on reception very kindly took me to the station ( a 15minute drive) in his own car *****

Bathroom was extremely small but served the purpose for a one night stay. Room was extremely hot and took some time to cool down after I turned the heater off. No USB socket so couldn't charge my phone which was needed for my work but I was able to do this on the train.

Overall great experience

Location, staff and value for money were all great points for the hotel. The restaurant food was also good quality. Parking and convenience were also great. Finally being able to bring pets was a major factor in us choosing this accommodation.

1 night stay pre Le Shuttle

Location for Le Shuttle is excellent. Easy walk into the centre of Calais for shops and restaurants. The accommodation was clean, but basic and dated. Staff were friendly

Useful hotel for Calais and Eurotunel.

The hotel is located close to Calais and the Eurotunnel terminal; it is very easy to find. It is located near to restaurants, shops and other facilities. The hotel has a free car park on site and is easily accessible. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable with good facilities. The hotel itself is sufficient for our needs. It also has a restaurant, but we did not dine there. We did not have breakfast there, as our train departure was early.

Good stop over for the Tunnel

The location was great for an overnight stop, and about a 5 minute drive to the Tunnel, the rooms were clean and comfortable although a little dated. The staff were friendly and helpful the food in the restaurant was very good.

A convenient location for the Shuttle

We received a friendly reception. Our room was clean and comfortable. Dinner was very nice with good service. The location was close to Le Shuttle, which was perfect for us.

As there was a sign at reception to take ALL luggage into the hotel, there was obvioiusly a concern for the security of the vehicles in the hotel car park. We did find this rather disconcerting and found that it created a disturbed night's sleep, worrying about the safety of our car.

Nice and comfortable, handy for the Chunnel and five mins drive from Calais centre

Good location, pleasant room, parking on site, nice bar with bar snacks available; good breakfast, and helpful staff. I’d requested a ground or first floor room because of my mobility problems, and was allocated one closest to the entrance, and on the ground floor, which was good. Oh, and wonderful pillows!

I found it strange that in our disability room, the shower tray was a half-height bath! Bit difficult to get into for a disabled person I would have thought, - it didn’t affect me, but might affect others more disabled; and the surface was quite slippy as well, - could do with a shower tray non-slip mat in it. Otherwise decent size bathroom with disability handrails, but hardly any room around the bed, not really enough space to manoeuvre a wheelchair if you need one.

Don’t waste your money, stay somewhere else!!!

It was clean & acceptable

The fact on arrival, had to pay cash as cash machine was broken. Then had to go out for money. Next morning after our early check out, I get 2 calls saying we need to pay !! I had done, in cash on the Saturday! Then to add insult further, @ 12.20pm, I get an email, asking again for payment!!! I have reported this issue directly to their head office. Pathetic customer service & care!!! Not impressed at all! And this is DEFINITELY NOT A 3* hotel, barely a 2* !!! Have stayed before, but NEVER AGAIN!!!

Fair for the cost, ok for 1 night.

The price, the parking, the restaurant, and sympathy of the woman at the reception (and restaurant she does both).

They forget our breakfast, even if we paid it 10€, at 9h30 there was nothing for us, and the guy at the reception was not kind about this. We felt accountable and had to ask for the reimbursement. Not a nice situation.
