Beautiful building in Calais centre close to theatre. 10 minutes drive from ferry port. Lovely room (Lady Hamilton) with good facilities. Nathalie and her husband were very attentive and the breakfast was excellent!!

Repeat visit and even better than the first!

It is a really friendly Bed & Breakfast run by a delightful couple with a long experience in the hospitality industry. We had a great stay and really enjoyed the table d'hôte dinner which we booked ahead. The food was really excellent and honest fare. Simply good quality rather than modern cuisine gimmickry. We appreciate that. We took a little tour of the other rooms. They are each individually themed. It was fun to think which of our friends we could recommend particular rooms. Looking forward to ur next stay.

Perfect hosts, perfect stay.

Nathalie and Laurent are wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. This is such a unique and wonderful place to stay with wonderful people. This was our 2nd stay and we will be back.

Better than just a convenient stop-over.

The location is excellent, right next to the theatre but it is very quiet. The hosts are extraordinarily welcoming and they have clearly worked hard to make guests' stays as interesting and enjoyable as possible. The evening meal was also excellent and very good value.

The property is all about the lovely couple that run this beautiful B&B, the hotel is well located, and very welcoming. The breakfast was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable too!

Absolutely Amazing!

The whole place was exceptional. We can not wait to return. The decor and design of the rooms every detail was so well thought out and very comfortable. The shower was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and a real delight with lots of little touches to each of the themes in the rooms. The hosts were absolutely lovely and you could tell they took a real pride in their b&b - nothing was too much of an issue. From a glass of wine before dinner to extra coffee at breakfast. The breakfast was well presented with homemade yoghurt and gingerbread a really lovely touch. The location is an easy walk into the city center. We only stayed for one night but wish we had stayed for longer just to enjoy the house and it's history. We will absolutely be back soon!

Another very nice stay at the Secrets des Logis.

Second time I’ve stayed at this property. Just as good as the first time. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Allowed us to bring our bicycles into the property. One of us has an e-bike. Charging overnight wasn’t a problem. Spacious, comfy rooms with individual character and some antique furniture. Excellent breakfast tailored to each person’s preferences. Parking of our car in the nearby garage was easy. All in all, a very nice place to stay.

An experience which I will repeat on my next visit

Ideal central location in Calais. Parking no problem on the street overnight and easy to walk around the town. Very warm welcome from all the family and met the cats as well . A home from home . We chose to have an evening meal and was well worth it . Nice to just walk upstairs afterwards.

A must-stay in Calais!!

The best place we stayed in all our travels in France. A lovely b&b with the loveliest owners. We stopped off on our cycle from London > Paris. 20 min quiet cycle from Calais port. We didn’t have their evening meal as got in too late but the breakfast was delicious. They are perfect for cyclists as they have a secure garage to leave them in, but also just as great for non-cyclists! The rooms are lovely and very clean. Attention to detail was great. 2 very cute cats too (who don’t bother you if you don’t like them!). Great location opposite the theatre which was very grand! Thank you Natalia & Laurent!! 🩷🩷

If you are a really light sleeper we could hear upstairs moving about as they got in late. But didn’t keep us up

The welcome from our hosts was warm and very friendly - like being in your own home but waited on hand and foot. The hosts were very knowledgeable about Calais and very helpful. There were lots of information pamphlets in the reception area and in our room.

All in all a lovely little property.

It’s a small but interesting family run property. We loved the different rooms with their interesting decor. Our room had a separate seating area, shower and toilet. Our children were in a separate twin room dedicated to Bleriot. They liked the room and slept well. Our hosts were very friendly. Drinks were available and the breakfast was excellent.

In our room the bed was a standard double and was higher in the middle than the edge - so we both felt we were going to fall out of bed. Would be fine for one person but did mean we had a poor nights sleep.

Our short stay here was wonderful – the room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated . The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, including getting in gluten free bread for us, and we loved meeting the resident cats! The breakfast was a very high standard.

Fab location, great home and it really feels like a home from home.

The location is fantastic as it is in the heart of Calais but not to the extent that one is disturbed at night. The food is also excellent as Laurent is a superb chef. Nathalie is a great hostess and we really enjoyed the various animals they have. Their two daughters were a joy to engage with. Overall I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We were in Calais for an inaugural cycling event and if it is to be held again next year, we know where we will be staying.

Ideal accommodation to explore the area or stay before catching the Eurotunnel Shuttle.

An excellent welcome in an interesting property where a lot of thought has been put into providing a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our table d’hote evening meal and chatting with the hosts. They communicated well prior to our arrival and took time to show us to the secure parking. We hope to return if in Calais again.

Charming, relaxing and modestly priced.

We were warmly welcomed by our host and provided with guidance for our stay as well as choices for our al la Carte continental break. Parking was available directly outside the house and was free overnight from 6 pm, or if preferred a secure parking space could be arranged for a small fee, as long as you were driving a small to medium car. The house is quite old, it was charmingly and eccentrically decorated each bedroom having a theme, ours being aviation. The stairs were beautiful polished wood in a wonderful sweeping style to the bedroom floor. Although a bit early in the year we were able to sit out in the courtyard garden and enjoy a glass of wine. We had a very relaxing stay made all the better by charming hosts
