Do not stay here -This is now a police barracks

Very very basic. Bed comfortable.

I am shocked that Booking.com is marketing this hotel as suitable for paying guests. It has been taken over by Police and is now nothing short of a paramilitary police barracks. There were 30-40 armed police in reception, with guns on their hips. The car park is packed with police riot vans, police cars and motorbikes. They have taken over all 3 hotels on this site. It is not conducive to a pleasant stay, when you are having breakfast alongside numerous Police officers, armed to the teeth, with hand guns on their hips. Its very frightening.

Not the best check in process, but hotel is clean and very comfortable.

For a two star hotel the rooms were fine, they were clean and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable and pillows amazing...

Its an automated check in system, and this wasn't working when we arrived, also the intercom to be used when there is any problems with check in didn't get answered either.... after trying again and a again we had not other option but to seek help at the neighboring hotel, who despite signs everywhere stating that you were not to go to the neighboring hotels, were very helpful and got someone to meet us back at reception.

Perfect location for LeShuttle

Perfect location for an early morning shuttle service to the UK. Very good value for money. Lacking in services such as evening meals but plenty of choice in the nearby shopping centre and entertainment centre.

Good budget hotel right at Le Shuttle terminal

This is budget hotel with modest and small rooms, but clean and ok. Some bending machines at the entrance. Big free parking, pet friendly policy. Hotel is conveniently located near Le Shuttle terminal, just a few minutes drive.

Check in process was automated, which is fine, but there was big queue because people had problems to find their number, something was not working, etc. Probably app should be more user-friendly.

The hotel is in terrible condition. Old and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Everything is literally falling apart. We found the room very dirty with horrible smell which persisted throughout our stay.

Location was ideal for early arrival at the Eurotunnel. Also there are a few restaurants and eateries locally, within walking distance.

£10+ for breakfast, dried up bacon in a pot, and some form of scrambled egg in another pot. A poor coffee machine and a lack of a breakfast tea. No drink facilities in the bedroom. The pillows felt like they were filled with my nan’s old tights, and there was only one each.

Abominably hot!! Warm outside but bedroom all night like sauna… morning staff ignored us- breakfast soon after 9 had run out of fresh bread. Room for 2 the smallest we’ve ever had (& we have a 2 berth caravan!)

A real disappointment.

Bed was fine and cleanliness OK. Breakfast was also fine

We had booked an accessible room. We were delayed on our journey from Paris, and got to Calais around 8.30 in the evening. We entered the hotel's address in the satnav, and were totally unable to find it. We tried more than once to phone the number given on our booking, but got the 'unavailable' message. We eventually (after more than half an hour of driving around looking in vain) found signs to the Cite area, but at first there was no sign of any hotel, and no signage. We finally spotted a hotel with the B&B sign, but discovered that this was not the right one. we spoke to reception there, and the correct hotel was pointed out to us, and we were told that reception was probably closed, and we would have to enter our booking number on a keypad at the entrance. We parked our car in a disabled space by the entrance, and attempted to enter the booking number, more than once, but nothing happened. There was no notice saying what to do in this eventuality. We had to return to the original hotel, and they phoned ours to arrange for someone to let us in. So we eventually managed to enter at getting on for 10-o-clock. The room was definitely not an accessible one, with a tiny cramped shower, and a wc with an incredibly loud flush. Entry to the room was by entering a six digit code on a keypad, which was hardly convenient. We discovered that there are actually THREE B&B Hotels, all backing on to a large and soul-less car park, which seems to be a recipe for confusion from the start, even if the location was straightforward to find. Our stay in this hotel was hardly a relaxing prelude to an early morning start on the Shuttle next morning, and a long drive home to South Wales.
