La habitación es absolutamente preciosa y espaciosa, con unas vistas super agradables que aportan serenidad a pesar de estar en el centro de la ciudad. Todo está cuidado al más mínimo detalle.

Por ser muy "picky", quizás nos hubiese gustado contar con un bar / restaurante en el hotel, pero solo como un extra, no afectó negativamente a nuestra estancia, en la habitación había café, te, nevera, microondas, etc. por si quieres cocinar algo y, en cualquier caso, hay varios bares y restaurantes al lado.

The interior and design is exactly the style I love. Minimal and clean but with a touch of the Japanese traditional Kyoto charm. Love the heated floors in the bathroom and almost throughout the entire property. The scenery from upstairs is stunning. Love the tea and overall aesthetic of the place. The meals were delicious and beautifully prepared.

Could have instructions in a nice aesthetic binder in English and other languages for how to use the facilities and things like heaters. Most importantly, many of the cafe customers keep trying to come into the stay as it is adjoined to the machiya unfortunately. They really need a sign for the cafe customers. Also mind the stairs, these are traditional so if you have challenges with movement, this stay might not be for you. However you can sleep upstairs (western bed) and downstairs (futon style that staff can prepare for you). The bathroom is only downstairs.
