Such a special stay for us! I wanted to book somewhere traditional and special as my husband has wanted to visit Japan for a long time, so saved up and booked here, and it was very much worth every penny. The staff were exceptional, so kind and thoughtful! Just one example: When we had been out in the rain I noticed the next time I put my shoes on they had been dried. The attention to detail in every part of the ryokan from the decor to staff is amazing. My husband really enjoyed his first onsen experience :). The room was very clean and comfortable. I can't express my gratitude enough to the staff who made this such a lovely experience! Would highly recommend!

The staff was very welcoming. Garden was beautiful.
It wasn’t comfortable. I got there after a long day of touring and there was nowhere to lay down or just relax in a comfortable chair. I ended up laying on the hard ground!! The bed was actually comfortable when it was set up, but the rest of the space, while large and nicely decorated, wasn’t comfortable. The TV didn’t work, and there was no hot water for a bath or shower. The dinner was very average. I didn’t stay for the breakfast because the food just seemed underwhelming.
