Kyotoya Kamogawagojo

二階の川見窓からの景色は最高でした。 立地も便利で観光も買い物もしやすかったです。 夜も静かで過ごしやすい場所でした。

特に思いつきません。

The house is very well located, in a quiet neighbourhood, and right by the river. The house is traditional and very well arranged. The view from the living room is amazing. Futons are comfortable. Right next to the house there are cafes with great breakfast options. It is at a walking distance from Gion. Also not too far from the main station - 20min walk. This was our best stay in our 2 weeks trip in Japan. Overall, I can only recommend this place - perfect vibe to have a great experience in Kyoto.

Everything was great. One minor suggestion - it would be cool to be able to drop luggage ahead of check-in/after check-out. I understand though that logistics wise it might not be feasible. The station next to the house has coin lockers although few.

Everything! Lovely clean comfortable machiya style accomodation. Location very convenient to many of the areas we wanted to see in Kyoto (Gion, Shrines and Temples, Nishiki and Teramachi shopping areas) and also to train and bus lines for things further away. Lots of helpful info was provided for using appliances and suggestions for places to eat nearby.

Had a little bit of trouble getting Wifi going at the start (had to turn it off, then on again). This was problematic at first, as we were meant to contact the host when we checked in by email.
