Great location

Bedside tables fell over when placed phone on them, television channels didn’t work, burnt toast and pastries. No offer of juice with breakfast saw it as I was leaving. Light from Barbers shone in room all night

Easy location for visiting family. Hotel is very nice lovely rooms and bar area. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Food was always lovely good menu large selection of beers and spirits

The staff when checking us in and at breakfast time were so good. Welcoming and friendly. The continental breakfast was excellent. We couldn't eat it all.

The room was absolutely tiny with extension leads everywhere. The bathroom left a lot to be desired, very much in need of some tlc.

Not a great experience. I would prefer to pay few quids extra & stay in Travel lodge or Premier Inn

The staff were good and understanding.

Pub/Bar, it was noisy and populated, especially over the weekend. Not suitable for families. Thank God there was a separate entry for the hotel guests, otherwise I would seriously regret. No Buffett-type breakfast. Simple eggs and bread with tea. If you want an uplift, you have to pay. Not worth the money you paid.

Won't go again

Room was not luxury. Kettle had to be plugged in on floor. Furniture old. Closet had cheap hangers and open shelves for a bit of storage. The ensuite was poorly designed with limited access and small basin. The description on Booking.com is misleading.

Very nice place, loved it, quiet and affordable

Very cosy and comfortable room we was there when they had curry night and it was lovely, friendly staff and helpful, definitely would stay again. Breakfast was really good also we had the continental included with the room and more than enough there. Couldn’t eat it all

Good choice of beers. Bedroom great and parking

We ordered a breakfast but never received it when we ask how long would it be after 30 minutes of waiting we was told they had forgotten but they could get us some toast so we paid to stay with breakfast included and received none . The poor service let the hotel down

Nice stop off for a weekend in Derbyshire

Nice hotel, friendly staff and was quiet, even with busy pub below.

We did not find the bed very comfortable unfortunately, and the bathroom was very small.

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel In a good location walking distance from the shop, chemist and pub. Bus ride from the city center. The bar and restaurant was always busy. Food was great. Lenny was a brilliant host so kind and helpful.

Disability access was limited. Lots of steps, our room was quite small which was a bit awkward when you have a disability, we hadn't specified on booking so it's worth asking if other rooms are available.

Good overnight option for events at Donnington Racetrack

Excellent really welcoming staff, large clean room. Good home cooked meals. A pleasant overnight stay while in the area for racing at Donnington, just a 15 minute drive away.

Furnishings in room were a little tired, but it was very clean and comfortable.

Good stay, but early check in charges a bit much.

Breakfast with Eleanor. She was fabulous. Breakfast was Continental but plentyful. Rooms ok. Pub is good. Some ordered cooked breakfast for extra charge, excellent breakfast.

Faf with parking. Registering car etc. We only stopped in to see if we could check in early. Awaiting fine??? Check in early is charged at £ 10 per hour per room. Our group had come for a funeral. That would have been an extra £60!!! We only wanted to drop our bags in so we could get to the funeral!!! Bit much when room ready and just stood there. Could understand if rooms weren't ready.

Good value for a short stay.

A clean room, good continental breakfast, easy parking which was secured at night and helpful staff. There was a fan in the bedroom which provided some relief during very hot weather.

We stayed for two nights during a heatwave, the corridors and bedrooms were uncomfortably hot. The small en-suite had a full size bath with a fixed shower screen that made it difficult to get in and out of the shower and it would be better if the bath could be replaced with a shower cubicle.

We stayed 1 night after spending day at Donnington Park this hotel wasa great place to stay it far to travel. Facilities

Really lovely greeting g when we checked in. All staff were really helpful. Mist number of quality premium beers on offer. The food menu choice was brilliant and the food was really great. Continental breakfast was really great this morning.

Room was warm but it was particularly hot day and they did have a fan in room to use, nothing more they could have done

It was close to where we we're going that night, the food in the restaurant was amazing and the morning staff even better.
