We enjoyed it. The rooms are a fairly basic but good. The location was great for us as I grew up around that area. Really handy. Staff were great. Great value for money

I booked into the hotel as was on a work trip, the reception I got from the staff was very good after waiting 30 minutes to check in, ( I was early) the room was very dated and tired. The window double glazing unit was faulty and the window was all cloudy! The shower lights/fan didn’t work and I had to reset the trip switch!
The shower was very good a power shower but was very noisy and could hear when the room next to me showered. There is a notice in the door telling you to close the door when showering! If the fan that is fitted to the wall was cleaned it might work! And the bathroom window was grimy and needing a good clean! The paint on the bathroom window was coming off!
The wash and basin drain was also leaking and had been for some time as the tiles on the floor were stained.
The food in the restaurant was amazing, I had the chicken tikka flat bread which was very good and flavoursome .
The bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep, then in the morning when I stripped the bed I found the duvet was very badly stained, also a pillow had what looked like a cigarette burn on it! This is basic hygiene and should be addressed! I went to have a cup of coffee in my room and when I lifted the cup and saucer the saucer underneath was all stained ! Basic room cleaning and standards!
I would have mentioned this at check out as I handed back a phone charger that the staff kindly lent me, but was not asked how my stay was!
