It was okay easy walking distance to the shops

It was clean staff was helpful , breakfast was much better on the weekend then on the Friday there was more to choose from

Nothing an issue but the new refurbished restaurant needs tweaking, hot items could have been hotter and the chefs now have to replenish dishes from the customer area with hot trays … and the dining area seems less roomy that the old one on floor four….

Perfectly pleasant hotel in great location.

We’ve been before and were impressed with the revamp. We stay regularly as we are Derby County fans but don’t live nearby. Although we didn’t get chance to eat (apart from breakfast) it looked as though the menu has also had a revamp. The staff are lovely.

Nothing, really. If I’m being picky, the coat hooks in the room are in a really silly place that makes getting into the bathroom difficult. There was an obvious better place to put the coat hooks. Also, we came back to the room when the cleaner was in and she was cleaning the loo without gloves.

Parking ! Hotel recommended a car park around the corner , however it was closed , it was peak time in Derby and caused me un needed stress to find another car park Would not stay there ever again !

Functional , but unattactive and soulless; very American.

Good choice of food at breakfast. The location was good. Parking was good.

Food was lukewarm/cold . The hot drinks were out of a machine. The room was designed for a wheelchair user and was a little strange.

There is one thing that can be changed is the lighting of the room, i had to turn on the lamp to have brightness.

Perfect Christmas Shopping stay

Loved the central location. Parking in the Derbion car park for 48 hours only cost £16 (£8 per day) didn’t even have to move the car at all. Food in the restaurant was great and the room was so big, clean and comfortable. Loved the complimentary drinks and snacks. I’m trying to find a “but”, except there wasn’t one.

Mixed great during the day. Bad night sleep

We liked the location and restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly made our stay happier.

The pillows were like sleeping on a rock. We didn’t get a good night sleep. Very unfortunate as we will be travelling to Derby a lot in the future. Don’t think we will be staying again 😔

No usb sockets for phone Fire doors closing continuously need them on magnet locks so when fire alarms set off they close automatically.in other words keep open No meal availability on Friday prior to 8.30. ( tried to book on arrival 2pm) Cost rail on wall by bathroom doors making it hard to open and close door also wardrobe hidden behind bathroom door all amenities seem to be crammed here

Great staff, very helpful. Lovely large room, very clean and warm. Great location close to public transport links and the centre of the city. There is a mini gym with machines and some free weight. The bed was most comfortable. Good breakfast.

Parking is not near the hotel

Nice room. Comfortable bed. Shower over bath worked well. Central location.

Long walk to nearest car park with all my stuff. Was advertised as having car parking on Booking.com but they don’t have one. £8 per day on top of a pricey stay. Took my eating business elsewhere because they’d had enough out of me.

Excellent option for a visit to Derby

The Breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff super attentive. We had a room facing an internal courtyard which meant the room was very quiet, despite the city centre location.

Excellent staff, comfortable beds

Warm welcome from the team at the reception, assisting with luggage and check in while partner went to park the car at the recommended ‘discounted’ car park. Lift access to the room with disabled facilities and easy wheelchair accessible turn space ( huge!)Comfortable beds and heating controls. Quiet room with tea and coffee , kettle and fridge

The discount code did not work for the car park. This cost more than £15.00, not the £8.00 as advised. Small drop off area at the front of the hotel was very busy and as a disabled person, it was very difficult to get a safe place for my partner to drop me off with the luggage and wheelchair,( no disabled drop off zone). We didn’t eat at the restaurant.

Outstanding hotel and staff.

The hotel was clean, in a great location. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful. I will not pick one as they were all excellent. The food was great and good value for money. The breakfast was perfect, just the right amount of choice and all cooked perfectly. The stay was that good that we have booked to return in December.

No where to park for the hotel and was a struggle to get in the loading bay. We seemed to have a room at the very end of the hotel, which all combined after a really long day of travelling etc did not help to relax us!

Great location. Room spacious. We got to check in before 2pm which was brilliant. The staff are really friendly. Hotel is great for the price.

Pushy on one night asking us did we want food a few times when we hadn't asked for food, different people asking us. It was so pushy it was off putting so we shortly left after the 4th time of being asked for food. Room keys had to be re-activated a few times. Had an issue with the recommended taxi crowd but found a local one easy for the return journey

If you wanted something close to the city / shops it was best positioned.

No car park, although there are two close by. The best, for us, was the NCP car park on Siddal Lane. 4.95 for 24 hours. This car park allows for multiple entries and was just a few minutes walk away.

Lovely clean, quiet and spacious hotel accommodation in the city of Derby. Me and some others were there for an event in the area, would stay here again. All staff were very polite, friendly and were ready to be of service if me or my group needed anything.

The property was undergoing construction in the ground floor lobby, so was a bit confusing finding reception. Beds could be comfier.
