Sightseeing trip on return home from UK trip.

The appearance of the building as you arrive is superb and the interior doesn’t disappoint. Every area of this property is beautifully decorated and the interior decor is great. Our room was huge, oversize bed with great linen, bathroom enormous and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was plentiful and everything was fresh and well presented. Our dog was allowed in all areas of the hotel and the staff were good with her. Location was fabulous, right in centre of old town.

The shower was an over the bath type which was a little high if you are elderly. Parking was difficult due to Christmas event, there was lack of communication from the hotel regarding this.

This B&B is of an average standard and comfort. Overall nice but nothing special, rather basic. If you like vintage stuff, creaking floors and smells of old walls, you might like it. The room was clean and nicely warm.

Decoration and furniture in our room was old (not only vintage style), worn out and basic (especially bathroom). Breakfast was also basic with drip coffee only (no eggs for example). It’s pretty far from the beach.

location, parking nearby though paid very convenient for such location. some chances also for free parking at place resistance. nice breakfast atmosphere.

room furniture. no eggs at breakfast or vegetables. heating stopped one day, we asked and was resolved very quickly. extra payment for pet had to be cash.

Lovely stay in very nice property.

The location is very central within the fortified city. Loved our room, and the courtyard and breakfast room.

Although we had committed to pay for three nights our plans changed and we had to leave a day early. I had let the property know on the day we arrived. Some kind of concession, at least for breakfast would have been appreciated.

Great location, very nice hotel, fantastic breakfast

The location is great; right in the old town centre and next to a parking lot (which used to be free, but is now 20€/24h). The hotel and rooms are very nicely decorated, with spacious bathrooms and comfortable (relatively hard) beds. The old town centre is quiet at night. Boulogne sur mer is relatively poor so expect some homeless people in the old town centre as well. There are plenty of restaurants around and the walk on the old city walls is very pleasant. The breakfast is outstanding with lots of foods and drinks in the buffet and a very atmospheric breakfast room. The staff is very friendly. There were some communication issues at first, and some confusion about how to enter the hotel since the gate is closed and reception empty. But the staff are fluent in English and all requests were taken care of. All in all, great value for money.

The charm of the old building and history

The WC didn’t function at all! We left a note at the reception while wasn’t acknowledged and neither was an sms to the number provided. Comfortable bed. Check in is only possible after 5pm. Particular smell in entrance and hall way. No restaurant on site - just breakfast buffet

We had a fabulous stay. Very central location, close to restaurants and shops, lovely breakfast, very large room with exceptionally large shower room.

The only small problem was the check in time of 5 pm. We arrived earlier, around 3 pm, but managed to find a parking space so we left our luggage etc in the boot and went for something to eat.

Nice but expensive. A few tweaks could make this perfect.

Centrally and conveniently located near lots of shops and restaurants. Clean rooms, very nicely decorated. The staff are very friendly and helpful and spoke English to make things easy.

WiFi didn’t work (signal was too weak) and the TV didn’t work (again, no signal), which made being tourists visiting Boulogne for the first time with two little kids very difficult. Make sure you have a good data plan on your mobile. Parking is right next to the hotel but not reserved for guests, which makes it really difficult to park as the parking is almost always full. The breakfast is Continental, but simple with very little choice. The many boulangeries and restaurants just outside offer much better breakfast options.

A wonderful hotel in a wonderful location!

The location is stunning - right in the old town and the hotel is beautiful ! The receptionist / host was absolutely lovely - so friendly and smiley ! Breakfast is fabulous and plenty of it ! A very gracious hotel and enormous room !

Housekeeping could have topped up the tiny soap and biscuits!
