We have been coming here for years as a convenient stop before going into Europe. Next to the old town and restaurants

Great location, friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast. Secure parking.

The proximity to the centre, This hotel and its staff made us feel welcome and it had a friendly feel. We were too late to book hotel parking however there are a number of free parking spaces opposite the hotel as well as a paid car park across the road.

The location - proximity to the old town - was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast very good.

We booked 2 adjacent rooms (one superior). On arrival, we were issued with 2 key cards for room numbers 106 (the superior room) and 104. On entering 104, it clearly was already occupied (open suitcase on the floor, bed unmade, clothes strewn about)! We immediately alerted staff and were subsequently allocated room 102 - down the corridor from 106 and no longer adjacent. The bed sheets were found to be very creased on arrival. We found room 102 airless and the window could not be fully opened. There is no air conditioning, just a fan in bedrooms (smaller version in standard double bedroom). The decor is tired and dated (textured walls and ceilings) and the bathroom in 102 was dated and tiny. No tea or coffee making facilities ( ie travel kettle) in the standard room. We booked parking for one night - stated as costing £12 euros per day - but were charged 16:60 Euros on arrival. We were not given information about parking arrangements before arrival and it wasn't evident, so we had to find somewhere to park temporarily then one of our party dashed in to ascertain arrangements (which comprised activating the third up-and-over garage door from the hotel, to access the rear parking area).
