The apartment is ideal for a couple wanting to be close to Ambleside centre. It is on a quiet side road up only a short hill from the town. The host was very pleasant and check-in and check-out went smoothly. We could unload/load luggage outside the property. The car parking space is 50m or so further up the hill.

Upon arrival, our immediate impressions were excellent. Ethna our lovely host greeted us straight away & assisted with our luggage & directions to the nearby private parking.
Our apartment was absolutely beautifully decorated & very comfortable, with everything you could wish for a very pleasant stay. Everywhere within the apartment was wonderful & we also had exceptional views looking across to the fells, which was very pleasing with morning coffee, before heading off on a wonderful trail walk, recommended by our host.
We had a wonderful relaxing time staying at Barnes Fell apartments & are already looking ahead to returning again very soon.
There was nothing at all that we didn't like.

Location superb for visiting Ambleside and surrounding areas. Once arrived and parked up we didnt need the car for local attractions as the centre of Ambleside is literally 1-2mins walk away. Very well laid out accommodation with everything thought of and added personal touch by an excellent host. We will definitely be back and it will be our first choice for accommodation in Ambleside.
