A beautiful house and garden in a fine location. Really enjoyed the breakfast except the veggie sausages which felt a bit like eating cardboard (I'm a meat eater - if veggie sausages are this bad why bother?).
I came back after an evening out and tried to make some much needed tea. Turned the kettle on and the electricity went off! Not the lights but all the sockets power. Turned out it was just my room. Eventually I found the guy in charge who did his best but couldn't fix it. He brought me some hot water in a jug and I managed some tepid tea but the next problem was the lack of any milk. I didn't know this is hidden in a fridge somewhere. Eventually they gave me a partial refund to compensate. So if going I recommend avoiding the ground floor room at the back RHS! And pass on the veggie sausages.

What a beautifully grand house! Perfectly situated close to Ambleside town centre, with parking (big bonus). Gorgeous rooms, super clean and modern en-suite bathroom, big comfy bed and luxurious towels- what’s not to like?!! Great view from the window (see below) and the sound of birds- a beautiful way to wake up.
Breakfast was delicious too- good choice and quality. All staff were incredibly welcoming and smiley. WiFi was great- able to download what I needed.

Location was really fantastic for town and easy to find, pleasantly kept styled and view from room was spectacular as sun rose and thankfully quiet from road noise during busy days -room warm and clean
No hairdryer not enough cups in room for number of guests. Light on outside window all night and air on from other rooms too noisy. Would expect a fridge for price and more veggies related products activity advertised. Not cool staff all left at 1800
