York Central Apartments with Gym - Close to Minister

Central location Secure Clean and tidy Well equipped No frills but everything you needed

As advertised no parking, otherwise no problem at all

The property was spacious, clean very comfortable. It had everything in the apartment that we needed for our stay . It was warm , close to amenities for food and shops , bus is available around the corner from the building for city centre and train station. Could not ask for anything else, even the host helped me when I phoned .

There was nothing I didn’t like

Location , abundance food options and transport connectivity within 4-5 minutes reach is the real usp

Basic amenities (salt, sugar etc) could be provided

Property is spacious, well-kept and clean. Double-glazed windows elimin\ted most traffic noise from the adjacent main road.

The property is a newish block of perhaps 60 apartments, some of which are residential. There is a part-time reception desk which seems to have nothing to do with the holiday lets. There are two external doors with electronic access but these do not open with the electronic fob provided. The only door the fob opens is the internal access door in the car park.These access arrangements are utterly ridiculous. The only access to the apartment is through the underground car park, and guests have to call a cellphone number to have someone open the security gate to the car park. No one ever answered this number, and my only means of getting in was often when someone came out and opened the shutter from the inside. No mention of this very inconvenient access arrangement was made in the property's listing, and I think that amounts to a misrepresentation on the part of the owners. I shall certainly not book this property again.
