Good location Comfortable

When I entered the room it spelt of smoke, I had to open the window Obviously the previous residents had been smoking without the window open

The location is excellent for the city centre, sights & you can park close by for just over £7 for 24 hours. The room was quirky, bright, spacious. The bed was excellent - comfortable and super clean. En suite was lovely. The breakfast/snack bar was well stocked, and there was chilled water available in the lounge area, too. I had to contact staff who were super helpful over the phone and reassuring.

Minor issues, and might be great if sorted: the window opens bottom half rather than top half & I wasn't comfortable leaving it open over night - and the room was warm (and yes it is a heat wave so kind of exceptional). There was a couple of cracked tiles in the bathroom, but that's me looking for something to say!

It was close to the cathedral and within walking distance of the shops. However, if you don't need breakfast it would be suitable. I also wasn't aware that entry details would be sent by email so we arrived not knowing which room we had and not able to access the room.

No staff, and breakfast was help yourself to either shreddies or chocolate shreddies. No television in the room and the settee was too low for me. 2 separate small armchairs would have been better. What was good was that leaving time was 11 am rather than 10 am like most places.
