It was very central and was opposite the cathedral The breakfast was very good
We had booked online with you and chose an option for an accessible room. We knew the lift was out of action.
When we arrived we were given a room on the third floor. They had no knowledge of our accessible request. They offered a twin room on the first floor or they would give us a double the next day. The plumbing was awful. The bath didn’t clear and you were showering in about 10 inches of water. The receptionist was not friendly, welcoming or helpful. The next day we took the twin room on the first floor.

The hotel was well placed for the cathedral and castle area, the room was warm and had decent facilities.
Having it's own car park was welcome as many hotels in the area do not have on site parking.
Check in was slightly troublesome, the bed was not properly made and the kettle was dirty on the outside requiring a good wipe down by my wife on arrival. The £7 parking fee, while not unreasonable, was not disclosed anywhere prior to making the booking on either the Booking.com website or the hotels own site

Good location
I was very disappointed with the stay, the lady on reception was not welcoming at all, i found her dismissive and rude. We were staying for my birthday. The hotel is currently under renovation which we wasn’t made aware of before the staff nor did she mention it at check in. The lift was out of use which is not ideal. Car park was charged at an extra upon arrival which we didn’t know about either. The heating in the room was at full, and took hours to cool down so we struggled to sleep. Upon checking out my husband asked the staff member of reception if we needed to do anything regarding checking out, she was sarcastic and said ‘well yes you need to check out, then said all done’ that was it no how was your stay hope
You had a lovely time, enjoy the rest of your day etc etc. wouldn’t return based on this and really let’s the hotel down.

Staff were all very nice and helpful, the breakfast had a very good selection of healthy and unhealthy options and the location for the city was very good
The £7 parking charge is very cheeky, the room wasn't very clean, the patio windows externally were filthy (its winter but no excuse there on the ground floor) lots of dust in the room, the carpets looked un hoovered and most of the main corridor walkways look tired, the hotel in general is due some major investment and upgrades, not worth £150pn at best this is a £50pn hotel

The location was ideal for our visit, and that it was right by the cathedral too which was excellent.
Staff were friendly and very helpful and attentive.
The dinner menu selection offered great choice.
Plenty of onsite parking.
The hotel overall felt tired, drab carpets and curtains in the room, lighting could have been better in the entrance of the room which was dim, bathroom also felt tired, chairs had worn arms and seats both in the room and the bar area.
I was happy there was a gym but when I went to check it out the free weights started from 5KG so not suitable for light work and I couldn't therefore use them.

The staff are friendly and polite and service is good, breakfast was ample and nicely cooked. The room was comfortable if a little small. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've come across and the location is superb being opposite the cathedral.
Although the bedding and carpets were clean, the furniture was dented and damaged, showing it's age. The TV remote was grubby and worn to the point where you could not see the function of the buttons. The shower head had a thick coating of limescale and clearly had not been cleaned for a long time. The covering grill on the toilet extractor fan was thick with fluff and dust as was the shelf under the sink. Dinner was just ok and much more expensive than it's worth. Refurbishment of the exterior of the building and the interior decor is long overdue and we had to pay £7.00 per day for parking despite their website describing it as complementary.

I didn't have breakfast. But the staff were charming and nothing was too much trouble
The bed was a little hard but I slept well. Small sig s of wear and tear in the shower carpets in reception rather worn and grubby looking

The staff were, without exception, exceptional. Every one of the people I interacted with was friendly and helpful.
My “deluxe” room was a joke. Tired furniture and fittings, a balcony door with no catch or seal to keep the cold air and noise out, a filthy and stained coverlet on top of the bed, and dust so thick on the window vents that strings of it blew about in the breeze.

Beautiful hotel, great location over looking the cathedral. Staff was polite, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Will definitely book again
The room was a deluxe room but it could do with updating as a few marks on the carpet and in the bathroom.

Room a little tired and window view of hotel very tired

Friendly staff, very good breakfast, comfortable lounge / restaurant. We dined one evening and were very happy with our meals. We had a Virgin experience which gave us a cathedral view room with balcony and that was really special. The hotel is literally across the road from Lincoln Cathedral and the architecture in this part of the city is stunning, from Roman ruins next door through medieval Bishop's Palace
The hotel looking a bit tired and shabby in places, our bedroom included. The heating didn't work in our room but we were given a couple of oil fired radiators to plug in. The bedroom carpet could do with a deep clean.

Staff were great, rooms lovely with great views. After reading some of the reviews we were skeptical but glad we came and would definitely return. Breakfast was fab, I had the full English but they did have an amazing selection of fresh pastries and more.
There was nothing to dislike. Yes, it could do with a lick of paint but it is a 3 star hotel.

Excellent location but a very ugly building in a beautiful location - hotel spoils location
It cost a fortune and was freezing and really shabby- charged us for parking too!! Man on door at breakfast was really pleasant but breakfast really poor- cold coffee, ran out of some food which wasn't replaced

Right next to the cathedral. Staff were very good. A big breakfast.
The lift ought to be fixed ASAP. My 90 year old mum can still climb stairs but not so easily.
A pity we had to pay extra for the hotel car park.
Room 235 - cold water tap comes out as a trickle.
Room 236 - The door is stiff and needs extra weight to push it open!

Great location.
Party in a function room below our room, it was very loud. The attitude of the receptionist in the morning was poor. "They dont think they need to warn guests that it may be noisy, or consider placing guests away from the noise".

Full marks to the Lincoln Hotel. The night we stayed was during peak Christmas party week, indeed there were three separate parties being held that evening at the hotel. One member of staff told us that it was their busiest night of the month. Our expectations were low for a good nights sleep! However our room was on the third floor in a wing of the hotel through two fire doors. The only thing we heard all night were the bells of Lincoln cathedral and we slept so deeply and peacefully - the beds were comfy, the room was warm and clean.
The lift was out of order… but we had been forewarned and I’m sure it will be fixed soon.

Central to the cathedral. Good parking.
We were not advised in advance that the lift was not working (we were put on the 3rd floor). The bathroom was not very clean and the basin tap needs attention. There was no bath mat & the floor was dangerously slippy after a shower. Worst of all, under the bed had not been cleaned. There was an old pair of rolled up socks under there, (I put them in the bin) a huge amount of dust and other debris I didn't examine. It was yuk!!

Location is perfect for uphill Lincoln
Staff were extremely helpful
Function we attended was excellent, well run and professional
The room was average, clearly well used, damaged wall, marks all over the wardrobe area
Very dated decor in the room and bathroom, looks like it hasn't been upgraded in quite a while
Very average and not really great value for the price paid compared to other hotel stays

Breakfast was far superior than we thought it would be. Excellent. Staff were so accommodating and pleasant
Well the lift being out of action was not great for older folk
Also not happy that we had to pay for our two days car park, because we booked off Booking.
Con. Ot was like we were being punished
We paid more than enough for the standard of trim
We had and we spent money on breakfast and drinks in the evening. Unacceptable to Habe to pay for parking

Location was good and car parking reasonable . Breakfast was good
It’s very tired and shabby . The bed mattress was actually worn out . The room was cold and you couldn’t turn up the heat . The duvet and sheets were grubby and worn out . There was no extra blanket for the bed . I ended up putting my jumper back on to sleep in .

The location was perfect. Despite the brutal 1960s architecture, the inside was surprisingly welcoming and comfuryable
The lift not working and the bedrooms being so hit I had to sleep with the patio door open

Evening meal, can't believe someone could ruin a scotch egg! Pie crust was very hard on main meals and green beans were raw not worth the price I was charged

Yes location was good, staff friendly, room clean all be it a little on dark side and little dated, unfortunately we ended up spending the night in A& E so never got to even really even stay in the hotel, only arriving back 7 30 in the morning just I'm time for breakfast, which was a lovely choice but unfortunately the fried breakfast stuff like Bacon etc was all over cooked
