Stayed here for a gig at Lincoln Castle and it was perfect for that. The breakfast is great and the food in the bar tastes excellent for the price, particularly the burger and beer offer. The cozy double is a little on the small side, and the bed is a bit small if you're used to a king size. If the weather is, or has been hot then the rooms do get very warm and they dont have Aircon in the older parts of the building. That coupled with restricted window openings (for safety and security) made our room quite stuffy. That being said, we had a beautiful view of the front of the cathedral and the room was well decorated and equipped. The staff were amazing and responsive to any needs, from check in, to breakfast and check out. I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay but would say that if you don't like the heat, book an air conditioned room, or visit when the weather is likely to be cooler. I would definitely stay again, especially as it cost me the same price as a ***!

This hotel is luxurious and the staff are second to none. Nothing is too much trouble. Our room was beautiful overlooking the cathedral and the toiletries were divine. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again and would highly recommend.

Was allocated a room right above the industrial kitchen extractor exhaust. Tried to ring reception. Phone didn't work. Rang hotel number from my phone. No answer. Went back down to reception with suitcase. Asked for a room that didn't sound like it was in the middle.of hurricane Katrina. Given new room on their floor. Logged suitcase back upstairs. Got to room.. small and pokey. Felt like a downgrade. Bright sunshine coming in so pulled curtains to, to keep some heat out as no air-conditioning. Curtains only cover 2/3rds of the window ????? Why? Back to reception, leaving suitcase this time. Requested yet another room. Was given a key. Asked them to move my suitcase as I was ina hurry for a party.
Came back from party and room was much better. Why allocate a crap room (room 2) ro someone who has already complained.

The double room was very small with the double bed pushed up to the wall. Had to climb over my partner to get out of the bed! Curtains were blackout so light came in at 5am. Ensuite bathroom was huge with nice shower and freestanding bath. I think the ensuite was bigger then the room! Location for exploring Lincoln could not be better! Clean and tidy room just too small for the high price......
