Convenient but wouldn’t return

Good location

My single room felt more like a private hostel room than a hotel. It didn’t have any colour and was quite bare, and the sink was dirty. The floor didn’t look vacuumed either. There was a gap under the door of at least an inch because it’s ill-fitted, which meant I could hear a lot of noise and it didn’t feel very private or secure. While I did get a good deal, I wouldn’t stay here again, or recommend.

Good location and hotel clean and tidy . Quite run down and needs attention. Bar never open . Room very small , bathroom clean but small. Bed very uncomfortable needs new mattress or topper as felt like sleeping on floor. Only saw one member of staff once the whole stay. Wouldn't stay there again . But was not expensive so for the price was OK.

Tiny room but cheap.

Hotel manager was great, position was perfect.

We booked a compact room and it certainly was small. Room 39 is directly above the laundry room and the tumble dryers and washing machines run all day, on the first night they were still going at 4.00 am at which point i went looking forna kill switch. Manager did promise it wouldnt happen again but I suspect it will. Constant flow of people going up the stairs right past our door till very very late.

Did the job for the purpose I was in Cornwall for.

Room not ready on arrival. Not the cleanest - dirty carpets. Shower didn’t drain effectively, nor did the sink. Toilet needed cleaned properly, dirt coming from rim on every flush. Christmas decorations still on table on the bar area. No mug in room for tea/coffee. One shelf holding tea bag’s not secure/loose.

Awful, did not feel safe !!!

Central location

No reception, doors to property was left open all day and late at night. Lack of security we felt un safe. No accountability with our issues. Un desirables staying at property. Told at check in there was no breakfast and still asked to pay for it!!!

Was close location to town

Carpets was disgusting, mould on our window, paid for breakfast to find out they aren’t serving breakfast but was never told, was also told bar was open and never was.

Amazing cosy and comfortable

Staff were amazing really friendly and accommodating very polite and kind - let us check in early and showed us straight to our sea view room! Cosy and well equipped! Complimentary tea and coffee in the room and a lovely decking looking out to sea. What more could you possibly want - amazing price too! We will definitely be back :)

I recently stayed at The Feather’s Hotel in Newquay from 4th to 7th December, and overall, I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel’s location is excellent – just a short stroll from the seafront and close to the heart of Newquay, making it easy to explore the local shops, cafés, and beaches. The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment I arrived, always happy to help with any queries and offering useful tips about the area. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a cosy bed and all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. Breakfasts were hearty and delicious, featuring a good selection of options, from the classic full English to lighter choices. In summary, The Feather’s Hotel is a charming place to stay in Newquay, and I’d certainly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality in Cornwall.

Very disappointing

Room was warm and clean

No bar No restaurant No staff No heating or electricity on in entrance to hotel or leaving hotel This was more like a hostel than hotel and beyond disappointed we were when we arrived On check in we did bring issue to manager attention and we could of changed rooms if required or look for refund with bookings We tried to look for another accommodation but unable to due to Christmas period Very very disappointed on this bookings and it is not a 7.9 rate .

From the moment you walk in through the door, you are instantly hit with " this much money for this". After a certain time the the non-functional automatic sliding door is shut, and you have to manually push against the glass to open it. My room had leftover rappers in it, and the walk-up was filled with stains.

The chap on the desk did try to help but it was too late and we decided not to stay

The hotel room was up some very steep, narrow stairs (2 flights) there were no lift facilities. I am currently being treated for cancer and this was not suitable for me. Also would not be suitable for anyone with a pram, small children and anyone who is vulnerable/has difficulty with mobility. The parking was chaotic. The restaurant was not open and with only one person manning the place so he had to keep disappearing to help everyone, he was very pleasant but it was clearly too much for one person. The room looked like a teens bedroom from the 80s and the facilities were sort of OK but certainly not to the standard advertised.

Should've slept on the beach.

No staff available for breakfast. Waitied in the dining area for 10 minutes with no one to serve/greet. Utterly useless code door locks that were a hassel to use. Looks like the interior was bought from Temu.

The room was a nice size with a view to the back of the hotel as we wanted. A very nice bathroom with a good shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good and the ladies serving did a marvellous job. We had a nice weekend away. Thank you.

The hallway carpet was unfortunately the wrong colour that showed every mark. But it didn’t take away from the positives of the whole place.

A little gem of a hotel

The hotel staff was so friendly, thas so spotless and highly looked after, the staff where so helpful, breakfast was lush all day breakfast The bed was so comfy, being a low bed was worried about getting up, I had the best night sleep in months. Thank you for a wonderful stay, also the bottles of water in the room was a nice touch as I don't drink tea or coffee so made it I could have a drink

Bad hotel but good breakfast, wouldn't go again.

The location was great, as we wanted to stay around the main part of Newquay shops. The food was lovely too and the waitress was very friendly too.

When we arrived one of the doors was broken at the front. Nobody was at the reception. So we rang the bell and still took a few minutes for somebody to come and greet us. As he was trying to get us our room, he said I didn't pay for breakfast. Which i did and I said I can prove to you I did. Instead of giving us a card or a key for the room number. He just wrote it down on a scrap peace of paper and shown me where the room was. When going into the room, it was tiny the bed was very uncomfortable and that night we couldn't sleep really and we could hear everything in the hallway and next door too, the room just felt really low down for myself and im 6ft.

location close to station

No resturant despite pictures on Booking.com site and no bar despite pictures again on Booking.com web site for the two nights I stayed. Room was facing rear area overlooked by other rooms, no privacy unless curtains closed...room cramped. shower door hang the wrong way so you have to be in it to adjust temperature...and was dam hot when first turned on.....

Very disappointed

Only the location and the staff were good.

The rooms were so cramped and very small for a 4 star hotel. Even the bathrooms. Housekeeping was done only if we request it. That sounded a bit weird for me.
