Awful… couldn’t wait to check out, felt unclean just by being there.

Dirty carpets, broken floor boards. Awful old smell throughout the whole hotel, in great need of a refurb. Staff unhelpful, no parking, poor location, breakfast cold… when it was replaced it was still cold. Will not be returning & will not recommend … Room smelt & no fresh air in there… had difficulty opening the window to even breathe, could tell they are rarely opened !!.. had an awful nights sleep .. & the TV was older than me !!

Didn’t like anything.. All of the above… typed text in wrong box . Will not be returning.

A lovely stay.

The location was perfect. We were on the 2nd floor, room 226, which had 3 windows. The view over the beaches was fabulous. There is a lift, our room there was a couple of stairs too, to the room. Some of the rooms didn't have the extra couple of stairs. All the staff were excellent. Breakfast was lovely. Again, there is a fabulous view of the beach from the restaurant. We did eat in the restaurant one evening, the food was very nice. The hotel was very warm. The area is quite flat to walk, also hilly for those more able.

The bed was very soft. Although the hotel was clean, you could see ageing in the bathroom. The shower over the bath was slow.

Will happily stay again

Staff were lovely in the hotel and the restaurant. Excellent sized room. The view from our room was amazing. The king size bed and pillows were very comfortable. Great variety for breakfast. We don't have a dog but all dogs are welcomed with individual bowls of water and some treats to the restaurant table. Brilliant value for a quick family visit to Newquay.

The complimentary toiletries were hand wash and shower gel. Tiny tiny TV for the size of the room/distance from the bed. Individual loose tea bags were stored in tiny Kilner jars, 2 fruit flavours and normal tea bags. Only 3 Normal tea bags. I don't know what brand they were but seriously not nice! Parking was very convenient after pre booking a few days before. Only issue is they email they sent me said parking was £7 Oct - March. We were charge £10. Walls are like paper.

Very comfortable and clean room. Accessible for wheelchair user with fully accessible bathroom and use of lift. Staff very friendly and helpful, food and drink were good value for the area. Reception very helpful and easy to message them with quick and helpful responses. Nice long breakfast service with a lovely spread. Room was good size, warm, clean and comfortable bed. Cornish produce in rooms with teas, coffees etc, plentifully supplied. Parking and late check out available for extra cost but well worth it.

Fabulous view, good location but disappointing hotel

Location was great. The actual room was ok but the view was amazing - made up for the many problems Bedding and towels lovely and clean Staff in restaurant friendly and helpful Food good ‘pub grub’

Very tired and worn exterior Communal hallways in desperate need of new carpets and redecorating. Clearly some rooms had plumbing issues as one particular hallway smelled of sewage all weekend. Room cold, radiator did not heat room and towel rail in bathroom did not work at all Reception staff not very friendly and not very helpful - didn’t offer even basic info such as code to access gate for parking. They answered when asked but did not offer any conversation or think that may be helpful - on leaving we had to go back into the hotel to ask for the code in the pouring rain.

It was very clean, with lovely decor. Comfy bed, strong power shower and friendly staff.

We were woken up by a humming sound that was intermittent, like an extractor fan from another room. Went on for a couple of hours! Being on the front, we also heard the bin men arrive.

The location is good and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel needs a lot of refurbishment. Everything is old, the bathroom was full of mould. You can hear everything from the hallway and other rooms. The fan in the bathroom was barely doing anything.

Was like a maze to get to my room, I think I went thru 4 fire doors and down a half flight of stairs which was a little difficult with my disability and bags.

The views were fantastic. The breakfasts were lovely and had a burger one night there and it was great. All staff, including reception, bar and room staff were exemplary. Bus stop right outside the hotel

Bit of a mix up with room on arrival. Was expecting something else but chose to stay in the one allocated which had great views and hubby wouldn’t have agreed to lose the views anyway! Need to check the restaurant windows at least twice a day for seagull poo!

Beds were super comfy, breakfast was beautiful! Tea and coffee was provided and great location. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, particularly breakfast staff.

Room was quite noisy - floorboards creaked and you could hear the arrival and movements of guests in rooms above and around. Room was always very warm. No iron in room.
