Lovely hotel, will come back when bathroom doors are solid and not just frosted glass

Had to ask for bedding to be changed as it was stained but were happy to do so and it was done quickly. The only negative was the bathroom door not being solid and had no lock. Even after 30 years together this was far too see through for even us!

Great choice if you choose Oceanside.

I stayed for one night. I was there for a surf Memorial presentation, which was at the Hotel. On arrival the young guy at reception was lovely and very welcoming. My room was clean and the bed comfy. With tea, coffee and milk. No biscuits or brown sugar. The bathroom was clean. Everything was great. I will certainly stay again.

I can't complain about anything. All was good.

Breakfast was superb, great location, parking available for a small fee, friendly staff, lots of outside seating

Waited at reception to check in (we were early), found someone to help. Being a couple of a certain age we use the bathroom several times at night, switching the light on for safety reasons. The light shone into the bedroom each time which was quite disruptive to a good night's sleep. Assuming the bathroom/bedroom can't be reconfigured, softer lighting might help

Everything we needed for our one night stay

Fabulous location and brilliant views to Fiscal Beach. Staff friendly, food is great - we had dinner in the restaurant and also breakfast the next day. We had a cosy room, which was exactly that, but well appointed with everything we needed for our one night stay. Very clean, bed was comfortable and nice shower.

My new go-to place.

This is the second time I've stayed in Oceanside in the past 3 months. I can't fault it at all. The staff are incredibly friendly, the hotel is clean and in excellent location for the beach. Highly recommend.

The room was not the one we booked. We booked a 3 bedroom room and we had a room with a sofa bed! Smaller and not with 3 beds (one double and one sigle as in the description) as we booked and payed for. Plus the shower didn’t work. Boiling water or cold water. No option for an alternative room or even to take a shower in another place. Ended up with no shower. The people working there told us.. it could happen also in your house! 🤣 funny! Ahhahah still waiting for a refund!

The location was the only good thing about the hotel.

The hotel decor was very tired. The paintwork to the woodwork on the staircase, doorframes and room doors was terrible. The bedroom had no soap or shower gel in the bathroom. The towels smelt like they had not been dried properly. The breakfast room had dead flies on the window sills. This hotel was definitely not value for money.

It’s a perfect location and gorgeous hotel - with great facilities

It’s such a perfect location - so close to Fistral beach and can walk into town! Great bar and great food - the breakfast is lovely! Rooms beautiful and clean but

They didn’t clean our room in 3 days so don’t replenish toilet roll and tea / coffee and the beds in standard double rooms were quite uncomfortable - a bit too soft!

It was ok for one night, but I wouldn't come again.

The location is nice, close to Fistral Beach and nice walks along the coast. It is also a quiet area compared to the busy city center. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the shower had good water pressure.

Seeing the images and ratings of the hotel, I thought it would be a fairly nice place. But the facilities could really use some love. The restaurant area looked nice but most tables were sticky. The room was a disappointment and didn't look as expected. Already the door was yellow and dirty, and some walls in the room also had marks on it. There were stains on the ceiling and everything just felt quite cheap. Even though the staff really was very friendly, the organization was not good. At dinner we first waited a very long time for the food. (As did the people next to our table) Then they brought a wrong order. By the time my mum had finished her meal, mine arrived. (The food however was very good). We then ordered 2 decaf coffees. Waited for such a long time that we had to go and ask again. When they finally brought the coffees I wanted to make sure they are decaf. They were not. So we waited again. The next day at lunch they completely forgot my order and just brought one meal. Again by the time my mum was finished, I then got my meal. (The server was however very friendly and apologetic) Breakfast was also not what we expected. If you want toast, cheese or something else than muesli, you have to order it. Again we waited for a while until someone came to take our order. The poached egg was not poached but some kind of weird steamed egg-square. All the waiting and repeatedly wrong orders were a real disappointment.

There wasn’t a lot of choice of food for me as a coeliac. There wasn’t any cereal for breakfast for me so I had to buy my own. And even though the menu said the chips were gluten-free, apparently according to the chef he said the fryers went safe because of cross-contamination.

Fab!

What a location - 10 mins walk from Fistral Beach and 10 mins walk from Newquay town and beaches. Smart bedroom with great shower and window seat. Breakfast is £15 and you can have quite a lot from the menu, very tasty. The scone and jam!! wow lush!!! Parking round the back so you dont have to worry, just perfect for our last night of our honeymoon.

Exceptional.

I can not fault my experience at Oceanside Hotel. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. Always there to help no matter what. The hotel was clean, welcoming, and cosy. The food was exceptional, and you certainly get what you pay for. The added bonus is that the beach is less than a five minute walk. I highly recommend this hotel. Can't wait to go back again.

From the minute yor reach reception the staff are very lovely friendly and helpful . My room what can i say but WOW Talkabout first impressions what a room probebly the nicest hotel room ive stayed in and ive stayed in a few . The room was a very good size clean and the bed and pillows were very comfy and had a fridge which was a bonus . What made this room so special was the view. The weather was very hot and sunny and the room had a good size balcony which was just so nice to sit outside with a drink and look at the view and the sea . The room only had a compact bathroom but the shower was lovely good pressure and good size, The hotel had plenty of parking behind the hotel . The hotel was only a short walk into town. The food from the restaurant was lovely had the steak and a good selection of drinks.

A very pleasant stay

I paid extra for a room upgrade, and it was worth it for the amazing view over the golf course and down to the sea. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was nice.

The bathroom was a little tired looking and I much prefer bath sheets as opposed to bath towels, which were a little small.

Fabulous hotel! Highly recommended!

It was clean and the decor was fresh and tasteful. We had a very friendly welcome from the staff. Our room was lovely, with great views and a really comfortable bed. We took our dog and there were some fab doggie touches in our room - bowl with biscuit, mat, blanket and poo bag. Our full Cornish Breakfast the next morning was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Didn’t like having to pay for parking as I think hotel parking should be free.
