Sadly I wouldn’t return, too noisy and couldn’t relax.
Nice decor in communal areas
Outside is unsightly and looks uninviting. Parking is limited to 10 spaces otherwise you have to pay £15 for the hotel to remove a bollard in their own additional spaces. Very noisy and housekeeping knocking on doors from 8:50am is poor. Lots of noise from other guests and maintenance being carried out. Dirty in bathrooms - found clumps of hair in multiple places which was really disgusting. No temperature control in the room so cannot heat or cool the room. Cocktail bar closed even though we were told it would be open to guests. Small lift and very slow - take the stairs if you can.

Disappointed and not a family hotel and ruined my Chritmas
The hotel itself is located in beautiful location, excellent concept for a family travelling with kids as it is a soft play, cinema and tend to do activities for kids.
The general hotel looks very tired and needs a paint job. The lift is really old and smells, paint chipped and feels like it will brake whilst using it. Food was terrible qualify, stayed over Christmas and expectations with food was not acceptable. The hotel did not offer room service, no bar snacks, basically nothing if you haven't booked the Christmas lunch. I had to travel outside the hotel to find food for my children on a national public holiday. The staff very so rude and unhelpful, they were lazy and almost behaved like they did not want to be present. At breakfast, the staff could not be bothered to tell us they had a menu which we could order from. On the last day the staff in the bar told me she could not make me a drink for my 10 year old daughter because she's got other things to do, then started giving me stares right till I drove off from the window. I have never expected such appalling behaviour. There was maybe 2 staff members I can say were nice. The hotel completely mis-sold their Christmas advertising, the offered some package to some elderly group who arrived in coaches. It was awful sitting constantly being around elderly people when you have young children who want to play around and you are receiving comments and unfriendly gestures from some of these elderly guests who in my view should have stayed at the adult only hotel a part of the same chain, rather than making families feel like their on an elderly home retreat. The calibre and standards of the hotel is very low. Very tailored by dog owners, not families with young children. The owners were also staying during Christmas and came across rude, breaking their own hotels rules. My want to give back to the community and local businesses is not worth it, I would rather stay in a chain hotel knowing they invest a lot in higher service standards. Sadly will never want to stay there again. Also the hotel feels like its catered for people from certain demographics and backgrounds.
