A wonderful boutique hotel with a warm welcome

Great overnight stay. We will be back!

We enjoyed the spectacular stormy see views from our bedroom while we were sheltering cosily from the gales. Breakfast was good, dinner excellent. Our little dog was made to feel very welcome.

A minor point was that the toilet in room 1 was draughty and chilly. But given the strength of the storm outside, and the fact that some windows have to be openable, it was a minor belemish.

Fantastic stay!

An outstanding stay in a beautiful location. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Dee was exceptional and showed so much care and attention. This is by far the best place we’ve stayed in Cornwall. The views from the ocean room were breathtaking. Thank you for a lovely couple of days.

Fabulous!

We have visited on numerous occasions for drinks or meals but had never stayed. On check-in, we were greeted very warmly by a very knowledgeable and friendly blonde lady (sorry, I can’t remember her name), who took us to the room and told us about the room, resident seagulls and answered all of our questions! The room itself was fabulous, as were the views - a very memorable stay.

The room was very warm. We didn’t think we would need to open the windows in December! Having said that, hearing the roar of the sea was very pleasant!

Exceptional: room, location, service and food.

Room 7 was exceptional. Panoramic views of the sea. Super King bed is comfortable and the upstairs rooms are dog friendly. And yet spotlesslly clean (well done house service!). Double ended bath and triple shower. Exceeded our expectations (even though we looked at the pics beforehand). Nothing is too much trouble for Helen (the manager). The hotel sits next to the South West Coastal Path and is 200m walk to the tip of the headland on which you have more fantastic views of Crantock Beach. Restaurant and bar is also dog friendly and cosy. Food is very tasty. Huge cauldrons of mussels with white wine sauce. The alternatives to seafood are also excellent. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing place to enjoy my husbands 60th birthday and can’t wait to come back.

We stayed in room 6 and it was amazing and although the weather was awful the view was fantastic. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. All of the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Will be staying here again definately.

The view, the staff attitude, the ambience, the relaxed feel of living there. The local walks are excellent and the variety of wildlife to be seen is varied.

Not having the toast buttered under the poached egg when particularly requested. The cooked breakfast appeared to be batch prepared and average. The remainder of the breakfast menu was excellent. Having to leave.
