Excellent! Nell & Simon (& their team of staff) are all very friendly, very chatty & very helpful. The place is lovely, very clean & very comfortable. These guys really know how to look after their guests, I didn’t want to leave!

Excellent in every aspect.

Immaculately clean, well prepared and superb staff and breakfast. William, Nelly and Simon were excellent hosts, so much so, that I didn’t want to leave. One of the best stays I’ve had in 40 odd years of travelling.

Friendly helpful staff, beautiful room with and amazing view of the sea

The whole place was clean, room was beautiful, comfy pillows, bed was comfy, the shower was lovely and hot, fantastic view of the sea, staff were all friendly and very helpful, when I asked if I could have a blanket they bought up a heated blanket for me which was so nice of them to do, added bonus of a super cute black cat waiting patiently to be let in, found out it was a stray but was very friendly, would definitely stay here again

3 nights of noisy children shouting screaming stomping around next door to mine, they were quiet around 10pm or earlier but still annoying

A lot to be desired

Shower was good and the kettle

more low sugar sachets as only 2 in the drinks facility as am a diabetic and couldn't get my fire stick to work on the small TV and as for a delux room that was a small room as well with a view of the neighbouring building

Central to Newquay town centre, very clean and comfortable, breakfast was amazing with several choices , staff were brilliant

It’s advertised with a sea view, you would have to stand on the roof to see the sea , there was one time for breakfast at 8/30 which we didn’t like being forced to sit down or lose out and not many car parking spaces

The property was located in a great location, close to the town but without all the noise. Hosts were amazing and the room was spotless and decorated well.

Great place to stay

Great welcome upon arrival, location is brilliant just a 1 minute walk to town and 2 minutes to the beach. The bar and the breakfast area are very well presented.

We would recommend this hotel to others seeking a base within walking distance of the town and beach

The staff at The Quies were lovely and very helpful with anything we asked for. Our room was fresh and clean, with a balcony. The breakfast was delicious, with more than enough choice, and a special mention must go to the freshly baked/home made croissants, which were well worth leaving room for.

While it was great to have a parking area attached to the hotel, for the use of hotel guest only, the spacing was a bit tight, especially when it was full. That said, many similar hotels in the area don't have any private parking, so it was still a bonus and selling point for us to book.

Great value stay

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly. Parking isn't clear but after a few turns we found it. Room was for the money very good with an updated bathroom.

The hotel provided us with everything we were looking for and needed during our short stay.

Room was very clean and very spacious. Balcony view was very nice (of the sea). Hotel located easy walking distance from town centre and its beaches, as well as from Fistral Beach. Beware, though, Newquay is very hilly, so bear that in mind.

We really enjoyed the large room, air-conditioning, but we didn't need it. Beautiful breakfast. I'm Coeliac but they had it all! Superb breakfast ladies, and cleaners. So friendly. 50 p pool game. Ecelictic living and dining room, made it nice and homely. Will defo go again. X

Great stay in a clean, comfortable, well located property

Simon was so helpful and really made us feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The property is so very clean and comfortable our room (Room 5) had a lovely spacious balcony with a great view. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance so you can leave your car there and explore.

Very pleasant hotel, easy access and parking, close to Newquay centre. Good VFM.

Lovely spacious light airy rooms with balcony looking over the town and across to coast. Just about enough safe parking at front and back of hotel. 5 minute walk downhill easy access into town centre and down to beach. Ideal hotel in every sense. Good in room tea and coffee making facilities. Friendly host.

Lovely Hotel

The owners and staff at the hotel are lovely, very friendly and helpful, the room we stayed in was clean, and looked newly decorated. The breakfasts were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble there was plenty of choice and it was all freshly cooked. When we asked for advice on the area the owner was very helpful and can definitely say one of the best fish and chips I'd had! There is a little bar that is well stocked also. Would definitely stay here if down that way again.

New pillows would be useful as they went flat straight away, corridors to rooms were very, very warm. For those who struggle to walk a note is there is no lift so it can be a struggle to get to the higher floors the corridors/stairs are quite tight too. There is also quite a steep hill back to the hotel but that is normal in the area, but something to be mindful of. Perhaps also more shelves or larger drawers for clothes storage would be useful too

Fantastic week staying in a fantastic hotel

The hotel was in a great location, spotlessly clean and comfy, free on site parking which is an absolute bonus and the owners were absolutely great, and very knowledgeable about places to visit and places to eat.
