Staff were very friendly & helpful. Room was tastefully decorated & spotlessly clean. We had to leave early on our last day, but Margaret, the owner, was more than happy to give us an early breakfast.

If I had to be picky, I would say it was hard to get the shower to stay at a set temperature & it could be more powerful, but this wouldn't put us off from staying again.

Perfect views with lovely hosts.

The views are amazing from here, the reason for my 2nd stay. Owen very kindly gave me the balcony room, it was wonderful sitting up there for my morning coffee and last thing at night. It's spotlessly clean. The lady in the breakfast room, Natalia I think, is so lovely and friendly.

There's nothing not to like really. The bed is a little to hard for me, but everyone has different tastes.

Good value for money. Room good size and view over park. Breakfast options good. Cleanliness exceptional.

Milk pots were all opened and spilled in fridge on arrival. Coffee sachet also opened. Insistence on two breakfast sittings dependent on room number. No room for negotiation.

The staff were mega friendly. They really made an effort to talk to us. Room was ideal and the location was spot of for everything & anything we felt like doing.

The dining area was a bit cafe-like. The coffee was not the best.

Good value for money

The location was fantastic and very handy for town and places to eat. Breakfast good and bar were good. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly and helpful. We would stay again for sure if we’re ever in Newquay again.

The room was a little small compared to the photos though as it was for one night was enough.

Fabulous place

We found that Owen and Margaret could not do enough for anyone, always on hand, pleasant polite , fabulous breakfast, same for Natalia she would make sure your breakfast was right, everyday ask if we need anything or want anything doing with our room. The little touches of sweets at reception. Also the girl who helped me retrieve my towel which fell out the window amazing to go above and beyond. Breakfast was a great choice , hot and fresh, bowl of fruit too 😋. Lots to choose from . Our room was on the smaller size but Owen did inform us, we didn't mind at all and actually it was a nice size for the 2 of us , clean, fresh. Decor lovely too. Bar was lovely and very reasonable on price too , loved to have gone a few times but we met family every night but on our return in the future we will have a few more in the bar . Parking is enough space for around 4 cars , we parked on manor Rd car park literally 5 min walk and cost only £26.50 for a week , bargain pay at the carpark

Amazing and would 100% return

Location was perfect, breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and comfortable although travelling with 2 teenagers we were a bit on top of each other. Overall a fantastic stay, would highly recommend.

The absolute only thing I would say is that the drain in the bathroom was a bit smelly at times.

OYO B&B - Relaxing, easy, good brekkie, quiet, and high standard rooms

OYO bed and breakfast is perfectly located overlooking a small park with views out across the sea. It was very relaxing, and I slept well even during the busier July/August - The only noise at night were the waves from the sea, and occasional seagulls. I'd like to set a really big thanks to Margaret, her husband, and all the staff there who made our stay memorable and enjoyable. The breakfast was really good, although I did start a bit too late for us. This is not surprising given it is a B&B. We stayed in the Seaview room. Our room had wonderful comfortable carpet, a comfortable bed, a good shower with always on hot water, and mini fridge, a kettle and some tea/coffee. TV worked with usual DVB-T channels and builtin Netflix/Amazon ( bring your own credentials to sign-in).

Main light and light fan did not work. No anti-slip mat in shower - very slippy floor and dangerous. No floor mat in shower room when getting out of shower. No cotton linen on bed, it was polyester and very itchy. Very flat pillows on bed. Hard mattress on bed and lumpy

A gem of a guesthouse in the centre of Newquay with fabulous views from the front and lovely hosts.

Minerva Guesthouse is pretty much central in Newquay town, walking distance to bars, restaurants and shops. The property is clean and fresh, with very welcoming hosts, Margaret and Owen. Breakfast is cooked to order with staggered times when busy. There are a few spaces on the front with free street parking opposite. We were lucky enough to get the street parking on our arrival. A lovely 2 nighter to visit family , would highly recommend this guesthouse and we will definitely be returning.
