Very enjoyable stay!

Excellent location, very close to the train station and not far from the high street, the Great Western beach, bars and restaurants. Lovely, friendly, welcoming and flexible hosts - they easily extended my stay for another night at a good price. Good value for money. I had a whole room to myself: I enjoyed a nicely comfortable bed and it was nice to have a bathroom suite to myself also. Very pleasant experience altogether!

The only tricky point is the fact that, if you want to prepare your own meals, you can't do that as the kitchen doesn't have any cooker/oven or sink that guests can use (you can get a breakfast for an additional cost though) but if you're happy to eat out, then that's not a problem at all!

A warm and welcoming hostel run by a lovely couple, perfectly located for exploring Cornwall & Surf

Every time I stay at this hostel, it feels incredibly comfortable and welcoming. I always feel at home here. The owner couple is absolutely lovely, and it’s easy to see why the reviews are so positive. This place truly is a wonderful spot to stay, with a great location for both exploring Cornwall and heading to the beach for a surf.

Top rate Hostel accom in great Newquay location.

A 3min walk from train station/ nearest bus stop and 7min from bustling centre of town, but in quiet, set back location. Staff helpful and knowledgeable in a laidback, relaxed manner. Can’t go wrong with a cereal/toast/juice/coffee breakfast to kick off the day for a quid. Wi-Fi throughout property to all floors.

Great location and facilities.

Location was just down the street from two main beaches, 20 min walk to the otherside of town. Close to an ALDI. There was a fridge and microwave, which is very helpful. The seating area is nice and there is a table outside too. Staff were great, very lovely and chatty. I met a few people here, but less of a party vibe. Shower and toilet was an ensuite situation with other bathrooms in the corridor, which was great too.

Beds could be slightly further apart in my room, very tight. I was lucky only to have had 2 others in my room. A little run down, but overall worth it for the $$.

Friendly owners, a good place to stay

Friendly owners and other guests, fridge in the en-suite private double room I was in. No towel as usual for a hostel, £1 to rent, also usual. Shared facilities in a lounge/diner included two microwave ovens, hot water for drinks and tea, coffee, milk and sugar supplies. A continental style breakfast is available for £1 a day between 8:30 and 9:30 but I didn't try it. I'm certainly going to return.

A hand towel in the en-suite rooms would be a good move.

Great stay with helpful and friendly hosts!

Perfectly suitable for a short stay, friendly staff and good location. Communal places like stairs and hallway carpets did look a bit run down, and bathroom/rooms were definitely dated, but was fine for the price. Breakfast for £1 was great!

Proper youth hostel - great for hikers

5 mins walk from the station and the bus route taking me to the coast path hiking I was there for. Communication was really excellent and the host great. Bed was comfy and everything clean - all a little knocked around the edges but hey, it's a youth hostel and school groups will do that! Proper youth hostel atmosphere and plenty of information. Didn't have the breakfast but seemed very reasonable indeed. Easy check in and hosts happy to accommodate a slight check in time wiggle to fit my timetable. Fab

Bed needed a little WD40 and things like the pull cords on bathroom light pulls needed a spot of bleach but if you can turn a blind eye to bits and bobs like that - great spot. Oh - and a shame no sink access in the rec/lounge area but just ask if needed and will sort (e.g. I needed to empty out a coffee flask).

Enjoyable and interesting break. The room was cold, but is probably fine in summer months.

Although I attempted to book a single bunk, I was allocated a twin-bedded room: more expensive than I'd anticipated. The radiator was not working, so the room was cold: but I was saved by the second duvet! Several trip hazards: uneven area immediately inside the front door, (dark at nighttime); several flights of stairs had one step a different height from all the others; stair carpet severely worn in several places.

Super duper backpackers.

The accommodation is beautiful, the best backpackers I have ever been to. The host was amazing. Great facilities, felt like home, bed is super comfy. Close to the beach and town centre. Falmouth is beautiful. Highly recommend everyone to go there. I will definitely be going back as soon as I can. Fantastic. Wish I was there right now. 😃👌👍
