We booked this hotel primarily for the indoor pool (for our son) so it was extremely disappointing to find it closed for maintenance with no advance notice on our third day. We couldn’t swim at all. this was the main reason we chose this hotel, and it was a huge letdown.
The hotel feels very dated and tired throughout. you can clearly see the age in the room structures, the lift, and even basic items like the hairdryer and electric kettle.
Cleanliness was a real concern:
• Curtains were very dusty — clearly visible along the top edge
• Found 3 cigarette butts in the room upon check-in (hubby took a photo as proof)
• Soap and shampoo dispensers were empty on arrival. When we informed reception, we were told no housekeeping staff were available that night to fix it.
Other issues:
• Wi-Fi only works in the main lobby — not accessible in guest rooms at all, and the connection is very weak and unreliable
• Breakfast was basic and unremarkable. One member of staff was particularly rude when we tried to explain my son’s order request - not the welcome you expect on holiday
• Parking is extremely limited - nowhere near enough spaces for the number of guests.
✅ The only positive: The older lady receptionist who helped us with the fan when our room was too hot was polite and tried her best who brought one for us.
