Avoid at all costs. It’s a dump and we couldn’t get our money back.

Nothing. It was an overpriced dump. Nothing like what was advertised on the pictures.

Everything. We arrived, walked up the stairs and the railing was hanging off the wall. Immediately we got the sense that we were mis sold and that it just felt like a backpackers retreat. A property that had been divided into a number of rooms. The bedroom was small and the bathroom not up to standard. Sitting on the loo I needed to not have a left arm as it was right up against the wall. I felt like I didn’t even want to lie in the sheets. We immediately started looking for alternative accommodation in Cape Town but sadly with the mining indaba we couldn’t so spent one night and left for Plettenberg Bay. Please avoid at all costs. It’s a dump. And the next morning I discovered a stain on the sheets that the owner tried to pass off as a coffee stain. Not so. I had no coffee. Avoid at all costs.

I would not stay here for the 2nd time, it was not a good value for money paid. It’s more a 6/10 place than a 9.

It was clean, everyday room was kept tidy, fresh towels and linen available. There was no safe box,and we didn’t want to walk around with camera,drone and go pro. They were left in the room in our bag. When we asked for the safe box it was delivered next day.

Noone asked us for passports upon arrival. It means all the other guests where not documented as well. This gives a strange feeling about the place. Entire property is having a very weird vibe - there is staff onsite but not available at all times. There is a menu on the night stand with food delivery and drink options but not available for the moment. When we arrived I asked other guests about their stay and they said it was ok. Our room was having a very limited to no privacy, the terrace was almost at the same level as the walkway for other guests. We needed to keep the curtains at all times otherwise everyone would see exactly what’s going on it our room.

Good place to stay and enjoy the views

The location is very beautiful. The room is good for couples. It’s value for money. The Owner is very cooperative and polite and helpful. The staff is also respectful and polite.

It has no Elevator. The driver helped us bringing our bags ( Thank you ) The shower tub is bit high( it’s difficult to get in and get out ) There is no toilet shower ( i don’t like to use toilet paper- it’s unhygienic and also bad for environment- young trees are killed and crushed to make toilet paper)

Pricey backpackers

The view, staff and location.

We booked an extra-large double bed. When we arrived, we already felt that the bed was too small (we are both tall). After the first night, we had a glimpse into our neighbor’s room, and their bed was clearly bigger than ours. So what we got was definitely a queen-size bed, meaning a large double bed, not an extra-large one. We spoke to the staff, and they told us we could move rooms, but we were tired of moving (we had just come back from Langebaan and simply wanted to enjoy two nice nights in the city before flying home). In the end, we were only offered a bottle of wine—no refund. The room itself is very much backpacker-style: nicely furnished, but not worth the price. Very simple. The balcony door of our room was broken, and I did not feel safe because our balcony had stairs leading directly to the front yard. The only protection was the gate at the street. If you enter the building the normal way, you pass the gate, the front door, and then the door to your room, which felt much safer.

I will not be back.

The decor is not what I expected. The towels had holes in them and seriously need replacing. The lighting next to the bed is inadequate. All the furniture are old and the bed is on pallets. Not what one would expect after paying such a high price. The air conditioner from the room next door made a terrible noise in the middle of the night. The staff were exceptional at all times. They were both very friendly and most helpful.

Very well located if a little basic accommodation in Camps Bay.

Location was amazing, 5 mins walk down to Camps Bay Beach. Room was all we needed, fairly spacious and nice shower room. Safety hazard in our room was quickly dealt with by the employee who gave us a free upgrade. Staff very friendly, even if flowing English was a little lacking (though understand I am not in the UK, and my Zulu is very poor...).

Service is very basic, you have to whatsapp for any drinks/food and it felt highly dependent on the 1 member of staff being around to be able to assist, but I accept it is a fairly budget option for Camps Bay. Electrical current started flowing through the metal part of our shower on our penultimate day, resulting in a few fairly powerful electrocutions of both myself and my fiancée. That said, as above, they were quick to upgrade our room and get us away from the hazard. Pool wasn't clean enough for swimming.

Camps Bay is a beautiful area to stay in Cape Town.

Sea or Mountain View from all rooms and short walk to promenade. Esta was friendly and very helpful an asset to the guest house.

The pool looked bit murky and area tired. The last 2 days of my stay the pool had a deep clean and gardens tidied up. Looked much more welcoming.

Absolutely stunning stay

Absolutely stunning stay! The bungalow Dome was cozy, spotless, and had the most incredible sea view. Loved waking up to the view and enjoying sunsets from the deck. Perfect mix of comfort and nature, will definitely be back!

Für das Geld, no way!

Das Einzige, was man wirklich behaupten kann, ist, dass die Betten bequem waren.

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße, daher ist es entsprechend laut – auch schon früh am Morgen. Das Zimmer war recht klein – der Meerblick war zwar vorhanden, aber minimal. Leider sind die Eigentümer nicht vor Ort. Das Personal muss man meist erst suchen oder rufen. Insgesamt wirkt die Unterkunft daher eher wie ein Hostel. Das Auto muss auf der Straße abgestellt werden, wenn man nicht von anderen abhängig sein möchte, da man auf dem Grundstück nur in der Auffahrt parken kann.

Charmantes Guesthouse in perfekter und sicherer Location und viel Privatsphäre

Tolle Lage und kreative Innenausstattung! Bequemes Bett, ich hatte das Zimmer mit privater Terrasse am Pool. Alles entspannt und viel Privatshäre. Allerdings muss man ganz klar sagen, es ist kein Hotel sondern ein Guesthouse, Esther als Hausmaid ist problemlos per WhatsApp ansprechbar und auch vor Ort und löst alle Probleme sofort! Auch Email Kontakt mit dem Management sehr freundlich und prompt ( ich hatte einmal kein heißes Wasser in der Dusche, dieses wurde sofort behoben!) Pool wird jeden Tag gereinigt und sah ansprechend aus. Nette Mitgäste, allerdings teilweise etwas hellhörig. Vom Preis für Camps Bay in der Hauptsaison und der Toplage in Ordnung, aber natürlich höher als in anderen Regionen Kapstadts, aber dafür auch sauber und sicher. 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand und zur Hauptpromenade. Sehr gute Bus Anbindung wie z.B. die Hop on und off Top Explorer Busse fast vor der Haustür Ich werde dort sehr gerne wieder buchen, ich hatte eine tolle und entspannte Zeit

Es sollte klarer bei Booking.com gekennzeichnet sein, dass es sich nicht um ein Hotel sondern um ein Guesthouse handelt. Man kann zwar eine Gemeinschaftsküche nutzen und Kaffee und Kuchen Wasser gratis im Zimmer, aber es gibt kein Frühstück, bzw. nur zu bestimmten Zeiten ( wie Jahreswechsel)

bequemes Bett, in 15 Minuten zu Fuss im Zentrum

Das Hotel ist eher ein Hostel… die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, man hört wenn die Gäste nebenan Duschen oder den Wasserhahn betätigen.. die angebotenen Parkplätze hinter dem Zaun sind nicht wirklich zu nutzen, da es eher einer Auffahrt am Hang ähnelt, wo nur ein Auto parken kann. Die übrigen Parkplätze sind vor der Unterkunft an der Strasse. Die Unterkunft ist für das, was sie ist, zu teuer.

Schöne Zimmer aber sonst eher unbesonders

Sehr schöne Zimmer mit cooler Aussicht und stilvoll eingerichtet.

Pool und Möbel verschmutzt oder in die Jahre gekommen, nicht gepflegt. Für ein kurzen Aufenthalt nicht weiter schlimm, aber für länger vielleicht etwas ärgerlich. es gibt quasi keinen Service alles läuft über whatsapp.
