Lovely stay

The staff and owners were lovely - very friendly and helpful. Our first room had a very small balcony so we changed to one which could accommodate sun loungers. This was our last stay after a busy time travelling so it was great to chill out and shelter on our terrace from the wind whilst overlooking the ocean.

Maybe a bit nearer to the main strip but taxis were very cheap.

Breakfast was very good, lots of fresh food and loads of choice. Excellent service and all the staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Location a close walk to bars and restaurants. Secure parking in the garage for some of the rooms (ours was)

Room location - Had to walk round through a car garage to get to the room. It felt like we were tucked away in a separate part that didn't feel like it was for hotel guests. Building site behind hotel. I think the hotel should have notified us about this before our stay, not on arrival at the room, the work had clearly been going on for a while and we would have had chance to change our minds and stay elsewhere. thankfully it didn't disrupt our stay but was also a bit of an eye sore. Bathroom - a bit disappointing. Was new and everything was working and functional. the style of it just seemed old fashioned and not in keeping with the rest of the decor (that's probably just a personal thing though)

Memorable experience.

It was a quick staycation for my wife and me to celebrate our 10th month anniversary, and it exceeded our expectations. Lovely, attentive staff; amazing facilities; and glorious views. We would definitely book a much longer stay next time to fully enjoy the experience in this wonderful location.

Place of Oasis

This place is an excellent oasis within walking distance of Camps Bay. It is spotlessly clean and the gardens and outside areas are wonderful. All areas of the property are kept exceptionally clean, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble 😊. The breakfast is the best cooked and range that we have had in our 3 weeks in SA.

Wonderful stay at Ocean View House

Lovely, well-equipped room with magnificent views of Camps Bay and the 12 Apostles. Immaculately kept gardens and surrounds. Breakfast was a pleasure and all staff such a pleasure to deal with!

The room was large with a storage room for closet and our luggage. The ocean view was spectacular - the sunsets were incredible and we had a charming balcony also. We felt like we had a spacious apartment. The staff was nothing less than outstanding - they were accommodating re: any question, directions and help. The breakfast buffet was excellent - such an array of choices and all was fresh and delicious.

We booked a queen suite ocean view room and the view was amazing. We could hear the waves crashing just sitting on our balcony. The buffet breakfast was excellent. It was easy to catch an Uber or take a short walk into town.

From check-in to check-out everything was amazing. The location is great, just 3-5 min by the car to camps bay beach. The room is spacious, and have everything you want. Breakfast is amazing, have everything you wish for and they making egg and pancake on demand.

Amazing Stay with Stunning Views

Ocean View House exceeded all our expectations! The property is gorgeous with breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful, making our experience truly special. Breakfast was excellent❤️❤️❤️ with a wide variety and great quality. We would highly recommend Ocean View House to anyone visiting Cape Town you will not be disappointed! We can’t wait to come back.

It is very well located with sea views. Safe area and nice to do sports around: run, bike, walks. Walking distance to Camps Bay main beach and restaurants.

Gorgeous and tranquil getaway with amazing staff!

Tranquil and relaxing stay for our getaway. Away from main tourist areas but easy uber or walk access to great restaurants along the beautiful shoreline. Staff helped us book a car to go to Boulder Beach and airport. Overall, highly recommend and didn’t want to leave!

Loved it all! Staff are some of the best with their sense of service, professionalism, thoughtfulness and friendly attitude. Breakfast excellent and something for everyone. Loved the omelettes ! I am not surprised guests tend to return to OVH when back in town, we will certainly do it.

We spent a week in wonderful Cape Town and surroundings in August 23. Our staying at Ocean view house was just what we were hoping for. The location is just perfect, overseeing the ocean in a typical fynbos garden, 15 minutes’ drive from downtown: well-connected but still immersed in the nature. Rooms are spacious with private balcony and well equipped. Amazing sunsets from the window. The breakfast was very tasty. The personnel, kind and super helpful. We spent most of the days visiting and could not enjoy the swimming pool areas and its facilities, but they looked perfect for relaxing.
