Considering the daily rent, the apartment itself is small and has a limited view, making it not very cost-effective.

The location is good，right in front of the campus bay.

The room is very small，and the view could be blocked by the landlord house. The stairs to the second floor are very narrow.

Lovely place for a peaceful break.

Very friendly hosts and the location was perfect for us, nice and quiet. We had great views over the ocean and a view of lions head to our right. The facilities were perfectly adequate for our stay. We didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on that.

Only two points we noted were the steep steps between floors, take great care going up and down, and the bedroom doesn’t have air con. However a fan is provided.

Great location and facilities and a great host.

A lovely warm greeting, full of information on what to do and where to eat. Apartment is in a great location, just a 15 min walk down the hill to Camps bay. Apartment had everything you needed including a washing machine. The stairs to the lounge in the 1sf floor are quite steep, so bear that in mind if you are not too mobile. Other than that it’s perfect for one night or a weeks stay.

Very bad service and not welcoming

The host was very rude and not welcoming.

The host could’ve treated us better. She even raised her voice at us and was very very mean. I didn’t enjoy anything about that place and I wouldn’t want anyone to book there

Perfect location, very close to a lot of amenities. The host was very friendly and nice. The place was quiet and very clean.

A real cosy accommodation

Studio Accomodation...extremely clean and with everything you need.20 minutes walk from the beach and a 2 minutes ride with Uber.Close to lively Camps Bay but at the same time peaceful and quite at night.Great sea view and lovely swimming pool for a rest. Owner always available.

Great place to stay, will be back!

Well located, away from the noise at night, great sea views and those sunsets are unreal - yet an easy walk to the main beach and restaurants. Barbara was lovely, very communicative and studio was clean, well organised, comfortable and the aircon was a godsend!

The first day in, the bathroom light fell out of ceiling. My partner spilt a little juice on the duvet. Yes, we understand we have to pay for cleaning, but R1000 kept for the cleaning. I think they could have taken R500.Anyway the property was good.

Overall the stay was awesome

The view was everything and having access to the Wi-Fi was just as great.

Lovely visit and hosts

What a little gem this is! Barbara and her husband have made this a safe and welcoming base for those exploring the Mother City. The space is immaculately clean and had plenty of room and storage for 2 of us. The view from the balcony is lovely. We didn't use the kitchen so can't comment on the facilities but it seemed as though the basics were covered. Would definitely recommend for people our age visiting Cape Town and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Not at all a case of 'didn't like' but it is worth mentioning how incredibly steep and narrow the staircase is. The description of the property clearly mentions that the kitchen and living are accessible by stairs but there is no description of quite how steep and narrow these are. I am a petite 5'2 and found them do-able, but certainly not enjoyable (especially after all the wine which you'll inevitably be drinking!). Really would consider one of the studios that Barbara has as part of this complex instead if this sounds like it could be an issue. Definitely not for younger/older members of your family. The only other point I would mention is that we would have been very grateful if we'd have been immediately shown to our room when we arrived, which would have enabled us to dump our very large suitcases, use the loo and have a glass of water. We had been travelling for over 15 hours and this was our first stop in South Africa. We were met by the lovely Barbara and had our tour and housekeeping instructions on arrival, meaning we were dragging our suitcases around, learning how to work the alarm system, downloading apps for load-shedding info, and taking in all of the other security and general housekeep info. Barbara, we very much enjoyed our initiation with you! But we'd have enjoyed it even more if we'd have had a chance to use the bathroom before the grand tour started ;)

Camps Bay Gem

Fabulous apartment with views if the Atlantic ocean. Immaculately clean and most comfortable. Self contained with all the amenities to cook etc. Our hosts Barbara and Voitec were always on hand if needed. Situated within walking distance of Camps Bay. Small, well stocked shop nearby. We stayed 6 nights but we could have been longer.

A perfect place to start our 6 weeks South Africa trip

a very nice Apartment and extremely clean and well looked after place. The owners are a very nice couple and they share tips on where to go and what to do. The bed was very comfortable and we had our absolute privacy. We would highly recommend this place.

If you don‘t have a car, it might be a little far to walk to the beach and restaurants.

The shower and the layout of the cottage made it unpleasant.

The place is clean. It is beautiful from the outside, even the inside. Host is friendly and welcoming. would like to experience other rooms except for the cottage.

The stairs to the kitchen were steep and uncomfortable to use. Was not aware that we will be staying in a cottage, Host did not communicate that. The pics do not show how the entire cottage looks, It is perfect but wished kitchen was at least downstairs and bedroom upstairs. Showering was uncomfortable without shower door. water splashed on floor.
