I stayed at this property for my mother's birthday and wow! Our room was stunning, spacious and well appointed. We ate from the restaurant a few times which was also fantastic on all visits. The staff at the hotel were wonderful - special shout out to Jonathan, Mmeli and Lamla, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. As there are only 10 rooms our stay felt very personalised. The property itself is beautiful and provides a great base to have a relaxing stay in CPT. 10, 10, 10 - I can't wait to return!

The staff were always checking in and making sure your stay was going well. The chef and kitchen were always willing to cook us something other than the set menus. Just know parking here is quite different. You park at the top of the mountain and then shuttles take you up and down to get to the parking lot. It is quite tight and steep. The views are amazing and the room was great. Turn down service every night. We hit the taxi strike which really hampered us seeing things because no shops open. But the did a great job monitoring the situation and we finally got the airport on the last day of the stay safely. Amazing property, will return.

The location is far enough away from the hustle/bustle but close enough to all the popular spots to visit. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful surroundings but not much to do around. The staff is very attentive but don’t leave you alone- they mean well but knocking on our door for 45 seconds and calling my name when we don’t answer (we were taking a bath) is just out of this world. We also felt pressure to eat on the property even though wanted to discover the harbor.. everyone means well but i think some training on 5 star hotel etiquette would be helpful.

Tintswalo was worth every penny. From the moment you are greeted your every need is tended to, water, candy, delicious meals. The rooms are themed around different islands and we stayed in Lamu, which is a Kenyan island. The bed is super comfortable and every accommodation you need is accounted for. There is a high level of privacy. We had the pool all to ourselves during sunset. There are soft robes and slippers everywhere. For dinner, we had a seafood platter complete with mussels, squid, sea bass, salmon, lobster and shrimp. If you are looking for one special treat in cape town this is it!

This was a real treat for our final night in SA. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were comfortable, each uniquely designed and we felt as though we were the only guests there! Beautiful pool deck and sundowners overlooking the Atlantic were highlights.

This is a beautiful and meticulously maintained property. Breakfast was amazing. Service could not be better and the views from this property are spectacular.The rooms are amazing and so comfortable. The property was ideal as a jumping off point to explore the southern cape. My only criticism was that dinner, while beautiful, left a little to be desired as I felt the chef was trying a little too hard to be gourmet with certain flavors rather than giving people what they want. Would love to visit again.

Beyond that the staff are warm and welcoming and relaxed so you feel comfortable. The service is excellent and never feels fussy or pretentious. At the same time, the service is impeccable and the food is fantastic. The hours for breakfast are very generous so it is great for travelers adjusting from jet lag. The room itself is magical. I wish we had booked a few more nights here. We will definitely return next time travels bring us to the Cape Town area and will consider staying at their other properties.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The service and food were excellent and the view is spectacular. The only comment I have is that I found it odd that the rooms tried so hard to place you in another setting - our room, Cousine, was covered with pictures and Indian Ocean cues which were at odds with the stunning Atlantic view out of our window.

Beautiful location + amazing views + great hotel + fabulous food = pure relaxation! We checked in for a 2-day honeymoon and were very impressed by the standard of this hotel, which sits right on the shoreline of Hout Bay. The lounge and dining areas are very tastefully furnished and comfortable. The room was to a very high standard (we stayed in Cousine), with a super comfy (and huge) bed, 2 big armchairs, a lovely bathroom with big open shower and a roll-top bath with a seriously good view, and a wood burning stove for extra cosiness on the cooler evenings. The main feature of the rooms, however, is the view - 2 big sliding glass doors open out onto a balcony that sits just above the rocky shore and looks across the bay towards the imposing Sentinel peak. Highlight for me was retreating to our room after a great evening meal and a few drinks from the well-stocked bar and lying in bed with the doors wide open to listen to the waves whilst the fire kept the slight chill of the night air at bay - pure bliss. There is a TV in the room, but really no need for it - anyone who chooses to switch that on instead of marvelling at the natural beauty all around needs their head checked. Also, was glad to see the room equipped with an illy coffee machine, which makes a much nicer cup than the nespresso equivalent. Service also gets a mention here - all needs catered for by the friendly staff with minimum fuss and always with a smile. We were gutted to have to leave after only 2 nights!
