Excellent quiet location and views

Excellent quiet location for visiting Constantia and the Hout Bay area. Beautiful view towards the sea. Well equipped and very spacious.

We stayed in the main house which has huge windows overlooking the pool so not at all private. There were often workers milling around in front in the morning. Lack of a private outdoor dining area. Shame there's no balcony on the bedroom side overlooking the sea.

Surrounded by the vineyards; The main house was beautiful; clean and very spacious. Love access to the main pool and the view was breath taking.

I was there for INDABA conference and it took between 40 minutes to over an hour which was a bit too far to access town daily. But I would definitely re book if just on vacation.

Breath taking Constantia Vista

The scenery was beautiful, very exceptionally clean, the host Ian was very friendly always ready to assist with some history or just a good chat. Siya was always on hand to help around with anything including chasing the baboons.

Not much not to like about this place, the only thing our party found challenging was the distance from everything to do so be sure to have enough money for Uber or hire a vehicle.

The location, garden view guest house, view, peace and quiet, the host Ian, Siya and Gladys were so hospitable and welcoming! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolate slab which was so thoughtful and added an extra touch 😊

I was very disappointed in what was advertised on booking.com and what i got was not what i booked

The guest house was good

Everything that i selected on booking.com was not what i had received. I had booked two double beds but instead i received one double and one single. I had filtered sea view however we were in the mountains with mountain view

Whats not to like.

The peace and quiet and the amazing views. 5min drive from Constantia village Shopping centre, with a number of restaurants. 3 min drive to an a selection of restaurants. Good local road links, easy to get to the V&A Waterfront, Table mountain, Cape Point, excellent roads.

Constantia Vista Guest House: A Treasure in Cape Town

We had an amazing stay at Constantia Vista Guest House in Cape Town! The studio apartment we booked was perfect for us, with a beautiful view of the mountains, city, and sea from the large windows and the big, well-equipped terrace with a tent for protection from the elements. The generously filled fridge and welcome bottle of wine were lovely touches. We enjoyed preparing meals in the kitchen, which was a true gem! We were impressed by the attention to detail. The studio was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with very warm and homely style. The linen was nice, and the bed was comfortable. The check-in and check-out processes were seamless, and the owner and manager were extremely friendly and helpful. They even arranged our transfer to a nearby vineyard. We felt like we were meeting old friends, as they were so warm and welcoming. The view from the studio is the main highlight, with the sunrise and sunset colours being truly breathtaking. It's also a very romantic place, perfect for couples. As globe-trotters, we've had the privilege of staying in many wonderful places, but this one truly stands out. We're not often inclined to revisit places we've stayed, but Constantia Vista Guest House has won us over. We're already looking forward to our next visit to Cape Town and can't wait to return to this wonderful place.

Well worth the money, a very enjoyable stay.

We wanted somewhere to use as a base whilst in Cape Town. Constantia Guest House ticked all the boxes for us. It was in a quiet location, but within easy reach (5mins by car) of many restaurants, a shopping mall and petrol station. The view of the Cape Town area out to the sea from our room was superb. The room itself was well-equipped with everything we needed.

A minor issue for us was the AC unit, which was a bit noisy, but apart from that no other complaints.

We had a fabulous 7-nights stay at Constantia Vista. At entering the apt. what struck me immediately was how sparkling clean our spacious apartment was. The little touches, a bottle of wine, cold drinks in the fridge, sweets on our pillows, made us feel very welcome. This self-catering apartment is well equipped with every need for a comfortable long stay: a real home away from home. One of the highlights was certainly the panoramic views and the breathtaking sunrises over the mountains, We also highly enjoyed the quiet and peace of this beautiful place, located on top of a hill. Yet conveniently close to excellent vineyards, restaurants and shopping facilities. Constantia Vista luckily has solar panels. During load-sheddings the power is being transfered seamless from the solar power system. So, we never had the inconvenience of dealing with power fall-out anymore, a major problem nowadays in South Africa, and this problem will get worse the coming years. Last but certainly not least, we were well looked after by Ian and his staff. Ian is a superhost. His warm hospitality made our stay a pleasure, like staying at a friend’s house. We can highly recommend Constantia Vista Guesthouse for a spoiled stay. We have just booked our next 30-night stay. Don't wait, just book!

Our unit was spacious with plenty of outdoor space from which the view was great. We were on a long holiday so having a washing machine was a major plus. You could easily walk / jog / cycle to Groot Constantia on quiet roads.
