Houtbay View Boutique Hotel is very wonderful place, I will certainly come back! The room, the bathroom and the rest of common areas and aminities were just perfect! Security was also well set and very reliable.

We had a great stay at this property, it was soo relaxing!

This property has an unrivalled position with views that encompass the whole of Hout Bay Cape Town. The rooms overlook the swimming pool and the views beyond

There is no hand rail going up the beautifully designed dog leg staircase which is difficult if your balance is not good as is my husbands

Excellent service and bucket list view.

Stunning view, friendly staff, good breakfast, most incredibly comfortable beds (ask the manager for the story!). The swimming pool is nice and relaxing. Would certainly stay again.

Without a car it is a tough walk up the hill from shops/ restaurants. But just take an Uber it is fine.

Lovely stay as we celebrated my friends 60th.

Breakfast was good, the location was excellent. Management was considerate with allowing me to bring in a massage service.

Our bedroom had a number of things that were not working or were not there. 1. No pods for coffee machine 2. Hairdryer not working in the bathroom 3. Nuts in the tea tray hadn't been cleaned out 4. No milk in the refrigerator

Location and views really nice … rooms comfortable and well equipped

We paid extra for sea view room … got that when we checked in but unfortunately Aircon not working so host moved us to another “sea view “ room … unfortunately as pics from room below will show it wasn’t exactly a sea view room … could see the sea if you stood outside on corner of balcony …nice Mountain View’s though

This is a beautiful home with 8 hotel rooms. This place is first class Drew and his team do an incredible job. The views are amazing and a nice breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend this hidden gem😊

Great location and lovely accommodation. Avoid the breakfast!!

The location and view was lovely. Wendy, the temporary check in person looked after us well and we enjoyed meeting the resident collie.

Breakfast was very poor indeed. There were ants on the food the buffet and we had to find someone to take our order for tea/coffee and cooked food. By this time we had been waiting for about 20 minutes. Our server was confused about our order so we simplified it. When the food did arrive (scrambled eggs) we were under the impression they’d been pre-prepared. I couldn’t eat mine.

Perfect quiet hotel for 6 persons.

The staff with Bryan, Andrew and Loveness made us fell very comfortable. We have had the most unforgettable hotelstay ever. Every morning, fresh fruit, bread, coffe/the, almost whatever we wanted. Bryan asked us a lot of times what he could do for us, make us feel taken care of. Loveness took care of the breakfast and us. Perfect scrambled egg for breakfast almost every day for some of us. Daily talking with Bryan made us feel at home! The hotel view is spectakular, the pool is cleaned every day and the garden which Bryan takes care of is wonderful! We loved our 2 weeks stay in Hout Bay view. An absolute suprise was the champagne breakfast at my birthday, Thank you all so much! Loved every part of it, including the decorated table, the card (in Norwgian:-)), the songs and everything! Thanks a lot for your effort💖 Elin og Stein Harald + the "kids"

Wonderful views and fantastic personal service.

The personal service from Brian was excellent. Breakfasts were delicious and thoughtful. The view is stunning and the property is well positioned with easy access to the beach and an array of wonderful restaurants. Brian gave us some great tips on local surrounds which really helped us enjoy the area.

Very comfortable, the receptionist isn’t as friendly though.. one morning my hubby was not well and couldn’t go for breakfast and he just straight out refused that I take him some breakfast to the room. We left without getting the change that was owed to us even though we stayed for 2 nights.. The food wasn’t so great, great location with good security.

All in all absolutely breathtaking.

The View out of the premisses is the most magnificent view I have ever seen of Hout Bay. Rooms are super clean, modern and premises are amazing.

Loadshedding unfortunately. Maybe they should have install little inverter or solar panels. That would definatelly make difference and would bring in more traffic. :-)

The view from the room towards the apartment was amaizing!

I do not understand why the purchased such a short 1.60-1.70 m long bed..I am 1.83 m tall and part of my leg hanged in the air…not comfortable at all. The manager(owner?) was not really achievable and present. Neither physically or by whatsapp.

Best view in Hout Bay

Definitely the best view in Hout Bay. The room was spacious, clean and modern. We loved the big shower and the variety of streaming apps on the T.V. There was also an exceptional breakfast included in the room rate. We would visit again without a doubt.

confusing, bizarre.

spectacular view and very well appointed hotel.

this place is badly run. no one was around to answer any questions. load shedding meant no toilets or showers and only a torch for lights. there was no explanation of this from the rather confused man (owner? manager?) who greeted us and was never seen again. Stanley who organised breakfasts and seemed to do everything else was it’s only saving grace. odd place. shame, as the building is stunning.

Really disappointing to say the least!

The bedrooms where beautiful and the view was stunning!

On arrival we got greeted by someone who didnt even know what form we needed to fill in. Was very unprofessional and really not helpful.We then went out for dinner and couldn’t get back in as we were locked out of the property as they didn’t give us the key. Then there was no water(due to load shedding so they not prepared for it) so couldn’t even wash my hands or flush the toilet. When it came to breakfast , we went downstairs and nothing had been prepared for us. The man was on his way to collect the dog poo and then came back and assisted us. The breakfast was really disappointing to say the least. It was just a really disappointing stay and would really not recommend this place due to the poor service we received.
