Beautiful spot for a cozy getaway!

Booked this hotel for my parents to celebrate a birthday. The hotel went above and beyond, celebrating with a chocolate cake at breakfast and local wine in the room. The hotel really surpassed our expectations!

The room was large and spacious and the welcoming team ( Ricardo ) was friendly and very helpful .

At 5 am the cleaning staff called the room to find out when I will be checking out ( as I had arranged for a pre packed breakfast and had said I wanted to leave by 6:45 )

Understated class! We will be back

We loved the spacious family room, the unexpected treats on the pillow at night and the friendliness of ALL the staff. Also the garden is exquisite and full of interesting birds ….. even swee waxbills!

These are very minor! The music in the lounge/dining room area is monotonous and needs to be varied and with respect to the breakfasts freshly squeezed fruit juice would be more in keeping with a 5 star facility and there was something not right about the Hollandaise sauce!

Blissful Boutique Hotel

This is a hidden gem in the middle of a busy suburb. The staff are friendly, the lounges and pool inviting, and the breakfast delicious. We will definitely return when we need to recharge our batteries.

Our mattress needs an upgrade as we can see that it has been used for many years with big dents.

Warm and comfortable like you house; but with 5-star service

16h00 coffee and cake were an amazing surprise. The dining room and lounge overlooking the lush garden are beautifully appointed. Wish we had stayed longer to be able to try all the breakfast options. All the staff went out of their way to make the visit pleasurable.

High quality accommoation

I booked on behalf of colleagues from Austria who I was hosting. We always look for the best experience we can give our guests and Last Work Constantia has never disappointed us. Our guests enjoyed the breakfasts and the convenience of having Peddlars restaurant right next door. The complementary bottle of wine was a nice touch.

Beautiful and charming - but beware those with cat allergies!

This is a very special place in the Constantia suburbs of Cape Town. The garden is lush, and Room 8 is perhaps one of the best rooms we have stayed in at any hotel anywhere in the world. This is not the place to stay if you want a lot of local activity and shopping, but it is a place to rest, recuperate, and be pampered.

We had one major issue with our stay that could have resulted in a relocation and cancellation except that the hotel staff did a great job to accommodate us. Some months ago, the staff adopted a stray cat (perhaps a noble intention), but for guests like my wife, who has a severe and deathly allergy to cats, the presence of a feline in the common areas of the property made it impossible for us to enjoy the lounge areas and required our meals to be taken outside or in our room. The management understands the folly of allowing cats or dogs to roam freely in a public hotel space, and told me that they are in the process of finding a home for the cat. However, guests booking the Last Word Constantia should check ahead of time if there are concerns about cat allergies.

Very friendly welcome, the property was beautifully manicured and welcoming, the complimentary bottle of wine was such a nice gesture and overall excellence. A very good breakfast with delicious options.
