Lovely place but needs some TLC especially in the dining area , i.e. chairs needed recovering

the outdoor pool area and gardens were good. Breakfast was well served . Plenty of towels for indoor / outdoor use

Unable to check until 1500 laundry problems being quoted. Had a leak in the bathroom ceiling the problem was rectified by putting a bucket under. The leak was eventually sorted after 3 days. Ceiling has a black mark of mould. One day the shower head was removed and put in the sink with no explanation it was later refitted.

Lying about the outdoor tub in my room was not okay at all the pictures of that room are still on booking .com but the room is not available that is something I don’t understand I got a very small room that was not even close to what I paid for and when I complained I was told there is nothing they can do

Will I consider the venue again? - No never!

There was nothing to like, not after the inconsistent and terrible service received from the staff

Service and poor communication: We deliberately booked what was presented as a private unit with a private hot tub, based on the listing description and gallery. This created a reasonable expectation that the unit included its own private outdoor patio/stoep area. On the morning of arrival, we phoned the venue to confirm check-in and specifically asked whether we could bring our elderly small dog. We were clearly informed that pets are not allowed inside the unit but would be acceptable outside, which we reasonably understood to mean the private patio area associated with the unit. This was confirmed during the call. Upon arrival, this permission was withdrawn, and we were informed that pets were not allowed under any circumstances. As a result, we were unable to stay and were forced to cancel and secure alternative accommodation at short notice. Despite the cancellation being caused by the venue’s own miscommunication, no refund was provided. The issue was not the pet policy itself, but the misleading presentation of the unit and the lack of accurate and consistent communication.

Beautiful gardens that are well looked after, great location, all very private, rooms were well thought out and appointed.

If you’re planning a stay here, DO NOT leave anything unattended, my watch was stolen and when we informed the staff about it they barely batted and eyelid and showed zero concern so it’s likely a common occurrence.

We had a choice between 2 accomodations and chose Vida because my husband and I have been before and had a fantastic experience and thought we were going back to the same service. Standards has dropped and the breakfast we expected was no.longer quiet disappointed. No welcome drinks or hot towels on our arrival. Just somethings that we picked up on.

Relaxing and beautiful retreat.

We booked last minute after a previous booking cancellation, and we are so glad we did. The hotel was beautiful, and the gardens and pool area were so relaxing and a perfect place to unwind. The food was delicious, and the tempura prawns and seared tuna were some of the best I've had. All the staff couldn't do enough for us and made us feel so valued and welcome. Would definitely come back for another stay in the future.

Tranquil retreat outside the hustle and bustle of Cape Town City

The property grounds were wonderful and perfect for time spent relaxing at the hotel by the pool instead of sightseeing. Our room was lovely and spacious with amazing views of the surrounding mountain landscape. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great. It was everything we needed after a few nights staying in the noisy and busy city of Cape Town.

We really loved our stay at Vida Nova! From the very warm welcome by Cassie at the front desk, to the delicious breakfasts, everyone we interacted with was friendly and very helpful. The bed is so comfortable!! I particularly enjoyed working in the garden pods.

Only suggestion I would make is to put a sliding door on the balconies facing the pool. We had to keep rearranging the outdoor chairs every time we wanted to open or close the balcony door.

While not all aspects were in my favor, but the service and property were exceptional.

The room was lovely and cozy. I appreciated that they provided me with dinner on the house, which made up for the hot tub not being filled and heated. We had a bit of an accident when my son got sick during the night, but they were able to assist me by providing clean bedding. Thank you!

Luxurious and homey!

Breakfast is always delicious! The pool is so lovely and the pods above the pool are perfect for WFH in the most luxurious way! The staff couldn't be more attentive, they are excellent! Will be back again and again!

The Alexa system was poorly attached to the room - it looked a bit shabby. The television in the room wasn't a smart TV - would have been nice to have a larger television with a smart capability. Really not much to be negative on though!
