A great stay at Wonderland
We had a wonderful stay at Wonderland! The welcome was incredibly warm, and we felt at home right away. The property and especially the garden are absolutely beautiful, with so many lovely and unique details. It was a truly great experience – we would definitely recommend it.

Very bad experience
We had a very bad experience and would not recommend this place to anyone. On the day we checked in, there was a huge influencer event taking place with large crowds. We were not informed about this in advance - something that would have been fair and transparent before booking - and as a result we felt very unwelcome, as if we were interrupting someone else’s private party. On top of that, all facilities were overcrowded, even though we paid a significant amount of money specifically for a relaxing stay with spa and pool access. Our room had a private balcony and jacuzzi, yet people completely ignored this and repeatedly walked across our balcony and past our room, even after being told it was private. Very rude. The swimming pool was dirty, with cloudy, green water, and the jacuzzis were also unhygienic (our private one was cleaned by two very nice guys - that was kind) Being a guesthouse rather than a hotel is not a valid excuse for these issues. At this price point, a much higher standard of privacy, hygiene, and communication should be expected. Overall, this was a huge disappointment and a waste of our time, experience, and the hundreds of euros we spent. PS: We raised these concerns with the staff, but no solution was offered.

Nice house and relaxing night away for parents
Pool, jacuzzis, mountain views, lounge areas.
Room was very noisy. Could hear other guests arrive back and walking around at night.

Fun, unique place for a relaxing stay.
Unique property ideal for relaxing on first few days of honeymoon.
Breakfast offering was quite basic for the standard of property.

Absolute incredible getaway tucked in the mountains, yet a few minutes drive from the city! The staff were amazing!
Magical setting and beautiful interior design!
Unfortunately the geyser broke in our room but we were moved to another room, with a terrace so that was lovely!

Good idea but disappointing on the cleanliness
It’s such a feat of architecture and so unique. It had so many amazing things in it, all in 1 family home that was built in the early 2000s. The Koi pond all around the foundations, the huge living area with a gorgeous fireplace was so romantic, the clamshell sinks in the eternal suite and the view were stunning! The dogs were sooo sweet and lovely. The gym was fab!
I wasn’t going to leave a review tbh however i believe unless people say something, the owners may not truly realise and won’t be able to make it better for future guests. It is a nice place, it’s just everything has a “BUT” In theory the pool is cool, a zip line, diving board and slides BUT The pool area was tired, there wasn’t many pool lounge pillows, the water was discoloured and not at all clean, there was dog and bird poo in the pool and around the decking. The decking was the same old wood from being first built which explained the splinters we got. The zip line and everything seems like a good idea until you realise it’s in the same wood from 20 years ago and isn’t really stable, also landing in the dirty pool wouldn’t have been fun. We booked the eternal suite for one of the nights because it had a private hot tub but when we got there it was really quite disgusting, the water was murky, the tiles were broken and heavily discoloured and the staff explained it would just be “easier” to use the shared hot tub instead, despite that being the reason we booked that room. It was quite disheartening because we felt we spent a lot of money on that and was disappointed but we tried to not let it affect our stay. We then thought ok let’s use the shared hot tub BUT we took the cover off and the water absolutely stank of hot faeces and there was a film of oil over the water, obviously the water was not maintained with proper chemicals. The eternal suite did have a very strong “sweet” smell that was quite off putting, not sure that could be helped though. We went to go make a coffee in the kitchen and there water full of algae in the water tank… i tried to clean it but couldn’t without sufficient products, then went to put the water tank in the dishwasher to use at a later time and there was plates left in the dishwasher that must have been there a long time…. there was fluffy grey mold growing on the food/sauce that hadn’t been rinsed off the plate.

Fascinating place, a really unique and special experience.
Incredibile property - it really personifies its name “Wonderland”. There is so much to explore and discover with lots of space to relax and feel at home too. Finding out it was built as someone’s home was fascinating, and it’s quite unique in the fact that it still feels and is being operated like a guesthouse, with shared kitchen, lounge and communal areas. I could have spent longer here. The main girl on reception (who is also one of the spa therapists) was lovely, made us welcome and clearly cared about the property and our whole experience.
It seems like a mammoth task to maintain this property as it’s so vast and unique, so I forgive some of its shortcomings in its first year of operations - there are worn out areas around the property, some oddly placed hot tubs (that may need more regular cleaning), and breakfast could have been more exciting. Non of which would put us off returning though - we loved every moment in that house!
