Atlantic Bay Lodge

Property was easy to find. Beautiful home. Friendly and helpfull staff. Blessing checked us in and showed us around. , big pool, all the rooms are beautiful. Very clean, everything you need

Everything

All was good

The location and clean bedding.

The shower leaks onto the bathroom floor. The bathroom toilet area is incredibly small. The curtain have seen better days. No kettle in the room, but there is coffee? When I arrived there they missed my booking and I had to wait 30minutes for them to short out their admin and then get the room ready.

I liked the location. Nice quiet neighborhood. Close to a chill beach that doesn’t have a lot of traffic. Free parking. Free breakfast when done correctly. Nice pillows. Can walk to sunset beach in 5 min and also had free parking if you drive.

Our stay was Monday to Saturday, and unfortunately, several issues made the experience disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no crib for our 4-month-old twins. When we requested one and it was approved via our booking, the staff member said he hadn’t been informed and simply pointed out that we had two beds (so no crib). Our room key repeatedly got stuck, and by the second night, it broke off in the door, leaving us trapped inside until morning. My wife had to yell out the window to get someone’s attention. After it was fixed, we discovered we only had one working key, which meant leaving it behind for housekeeping. Although the room was cleaned, we received no fresh towels or linens for our entire stay. Breakfast was also frustrating. On the first morning, we were served sunny-side-up eggs without being asked our preference. The fruit tasted like onions, suggesting the same unwashed knife had been used for both. The next morning, despite my wife clearly requesting a plain omelette, the staff member brought sunny-side-up eggs again and argued with her when she corrected him. On the third morning, the cook knocked on our door at 7 a.m. to ask about our egg preferences, yet when we arrived for breakfast around 9:30 a.m., the eggs had already been cooked for who knows how long and they reheated them in the microwave. Finally, the pool was dirty despite several warm days when we would have liked to swim. Beds are hard. Bathroom had weird odor. Overall, the poor room maintenance, lack of basic housekeeping, repeated breakfast issues, and unclean pool made for a disappointing stay.
