Nice, but could've been so much more!

Very good location in a pretty and quiet area. Very clear communication prior to arrival from the manager Clinton with regards check-in, keys, parking, Wi-fi etc. Comfortable beds and fully equipped kitchen.

Expected much more of the patio area - looked more like a backdoor area you would normally hide from your guests at home. Some maintenance required - shower arm has a leak spraying water against roof, which then drips down ice cold. Some taps loose and one shelf previously repaired but still broken inside fridge door. Total overkill with regards non smoking policy - it's in your face wherever you go - in pre-arrival communication, parking area, the information folder and the first thing you see when entering the unit..... Whether one is a smoker or not, it makes you feel like you're in a school hostel...not a paying guest! Pool dirty - on 24/25 December?! Twenty exterior steps down to our unit all different heights - could this be to code?

We really enjoyed our stay at Mount Bay! The property is beautifully maintained and perfectly located — close enough to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the little touches that make you feel at home. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchenette and the relaxing outdoor area. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, making check-in and communication effortless. A great spot for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and good value.

An excellent, clean luxury apartment which was well equipped

The apartment was spacious with amazing views and with a great patio. The place was spotless! The kitchen had everything one might need, actually very well equipped. A lovely bedroom with a huge bed and quality mattress, as well as en-suite with a walk in shower which was excellent giving a powerful supply of water. Clinton messaged me to give access codes etc and was very helpful when I had any questions. Thank you Clinton!

As it was still chilly, the apartment was a bit cold, but the aircon unit gave heat enough. Also making sense of the tv was a bit of a mission.

Great value for money

The Nespresso coffee machine was a big plus if you are a coffee lover. The bathroom heater was amazing in May's cooler weather as well as the Aircon in the room. The bigger fridge /freezer also a great idea.

A roof over the veranda and some protection against the wind to enable you to sit more outside would be great. The outside bench with the table needs some attention. Stairs to the top floor a bit steep and dangerous for older people

Comfortable.

Spacious unit. Well equipped kitchen. Bin was a bit too small though, which often overflowed because the cleaner only came once to clean. Bedrooms very comfortable. View was not as great from our unit (bottom family room). The units above us must have had spectacular views!! Kids enjoyed the pool! Parking was on the roadside.

Superb !

We enjoyed the spacious room, very comfortable bed, cleanliness, modern design, the large shower, fresh white towels, great toiletries and, most of all, the beautiful mountain views. Parking and check-in was easy and the location was only a short drive away from restaurants and shops.

We really liked the apartment. If anything, there is road noise but only during the day, and the beautiful big-windows-view of the rising sun over the mountains also means that the room heats up very quickly so that, unfortunately, we had to pull down all the blinds.

You can slightly hear the highway running below the Mount Bay Street. Not a major thing though, the place is great!

Some good aspects but the room needs a general ‘makeover’ & front of house host.

The facilities in the room were good. Tea & coffee were provided, good coffee machine. A bottle of wine was in the fridge as a nice welcome & the room was spacious.

The room itself was impersonal, there was no ‘front of house’ staff & it felt quite sterile. The pool was very small, you had to walk down a lot of steep steps at the side of the building to get there. It was also advertised as having great views, well only from the end of the balcony & the shower room! Otherwise the view from the front was of a road & properties opposite. This was Angkor room. Would not stay here again.

Luxury and Serenity at Mount Bay

Our 3-day stay in the family suite was incredible. The breathtaking mountain, valley AND sea views were simply unmatched and made for a serene experience. Naomi was a most superb house keeper who kept the unit simply immaculate. That level of cleanliness made the stay ultra comfortable. The attention to detail with the kitchen supplies, towels, hand wash and shampoo by Charlotte Rhys, inverter, Google TV and DSTV, braai, patio and air conditioning meant that you needed to take nothing else besides your self! Richard, Clinton and the wonderful Naomi run a top-notch venue that deserves an unreserved 5 stars.

Holiday with a view

We had such a lovely stay at Mount Bay. The view is absolutely incredible. The host was very informative and was available immediately when I had questions. It was an easy self check in process which we liked. The room is very spacious, equipped with everything that you need. The apartment is a quick drive away from the beach/harbour/restaurants. I will highly recommend booking here.

The views from the apartment were fabulous with everything we needed. Very light and spacious and a very comfortable large bed. Lovely large terrace to eat breakfast and admire the views.

The lock on the patio door didn’t work well and was slightly loose so we often had to leave it unlocked as weren’t able to lock it. We made Clinton aware.

Wow, this place was fantastic. Perfect location for the sites we wanted to see and close to many restaurants. Easy to find, exceptional response time to our questions. USB plugs at the bedside and blazing fast internet. Wonderful terrace and a drying rack for our clothes. A washing machine was also on site and perfect for us to do a quick load of clothes. Everything about this stay was perfect.

Had to plug the hair dryer into the wall by the porch and then didn’t have a mirror. I should have texted to find out how to get it to work in the bathroom. My issue - not theirs.

fantastic. The place was spotless. Communication was easy. It was nice and comfortable.

This was a last minute.com family booking. And, it was amazing! Our 2 boys, loved it. The huge bay windows allowed us to see a sunbird bobbing early in the morning. The place has everything that you need, as far as comfort goes. I will definitely be back!

My only recommendation would be to have some plastic cups and bowls for the small kids. Other than that, everything was perfect.

It was disappointing for the first time ever.

We have stayed here multiple times before and it has always been amazing. The staff do their best.

Air con was not heating in the room, although the manager did organise a portable gas heater for the room, but the ignition was problematic, even of the heater. Then we had no hot water for two days.
