Overall great stay!

Our hosts went out of their way to accommodate us, making sure there were ample vegetarian options for breakfast. They are also dog-friendly which was very convenient. They were very patient & kind to our dog. We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were also very clean & laundry service was very well-priced. I also liked the fact that we could easily climb onto R44 to go to Stellenbosch.

A Pleasant stay

Facilities were great, nice terrace and pool. Parking facility offered. Room and bathroom spacious. Close to R44 for easy access. Hosts were friendly and welcoming.

From room: no access to back terrace, a bit disappointing. Milk should be offered instead of creamer for coffee making. Breakfast options should be improved and more on time. Continental options should be ready to go at start of breakfast time, and even earlier if requested by guest.

The breakfast was delicious and a good variety. The garden is very beautyful. . Very well kept. Lots of outside seating and places to relaxe.

It was not that great

The location was close to the place I was having meetings so it was great

The room was not habitable. I had to leave after two nights. They had just painted part of the room with oil paint which I believe had just been converted from a garage. This made me sick, I had to check out. The bed was tiny and not comfortable for an adult. There were works going on outside. I think they should have waited to complete the works before using the premises. When I complained about the smell of the pain the first day I thought I would be relocated to another room but nothing was done

The breakfast was normal, nothing extra ordinary. The location is extremely beautiful. There is peace and one enjoyed the stay. the staff is so friendly.

I think Breakfast must be improved because in the morning before work, one need a proper meal since there's no time to pass the cafe. The booking payment can be increase for a proper breakfast

It was disappointing.

I thought that for the price it was minimal. Only one fruit juice was offered and two cereals, fruit, and yoghurt. I got one piece of bacon, a fried egg, and one slice of tomato on the first day. The second day I asked for 2 slices of bacon.

I booked a room for 1, which was perfect, only 1 bed had any bedding on and 1 pillow plus a continental pillow on each bed. My son got a double bed with only a single duvet and 1 pillow. They counted the continental pillow as a pillow to sleep on. We asked for another one the 2nd morning and I had to phone for it in the evening. Milk in the room was virtually nonexistent, with only one small sachet, so only one cup of coffee per day. The second day, mine was not replenished, so no milk. For the price, it was unacceptable.

A gem in Somerset West

The guesthouse was perfect for a place to stay in somerset west, location , facilities and room were excellent. The hosts were very welcoming and made my 84 year old dad feel at home.

The tv selection is limited to sabc and etv, a limited dstv option would have been great especially in evening in winter as sitting outside isn't an option in the old evenings

As a single traveller I felt very safe, it’s situated in an excellent part of Somerset West. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was spotless and the hosts had clearly thought of every detail to make sure I had a great stay. I’d love to stay there again.

Overall, my stay was marvellous. Liked the privacy and quietness.

The service was up to par, bathroom clean and bed made. Breakfast was well served and the heater kept me warm. Was able to make my cup of tea or coffee and TV kept me entertained.

I think a solution can be put in place for load shedding. Nothing works during the load shedding. Even an inverter will be better.

Breakfast was nice, but I only had the buffet.

It would've been nice to have a charged light during loadshedding (20:00 - 22:00) instead of one half burnt tea candle, but I bought myself a light so I managed.
