Loveliest staff very homey space and decor. It was an amazing change of experience from a normal hotel room. The area is perfectly located, safe calm and green. Breakfast is top. The room was clean and we got the chance to try 2 rooms as someone left and we were moved. Judy and Graham are the loveliest accommodating hosts. If you are looking for something different local and homey, look no further.
Not getting the chance to spend more time and enjoy the scenery and the zen around the house.

A gorgeous stay at Hedge House Guest House - we didn’t want to leave! From the beginning, Graham and Judy were warm and welcoming and very accommodating to us and especially our 1.5 year old. Each day started off with a delicious breakfast where Graham would ask about our plans for the day and helpfully give recommendations around that location. The room itself was homely and clean and nothing seemed too much trouble. Fingers crossed we will be back in the future.

We enjoyed staying at a small B&B rather than a larger hotel but it's further away than we had thought for good dining options and a 20 min drive to Kirstensbosch. We preferred our stay in Newlands last time we visited Cape Town. The cooked breakfast was very good and Judy's banana bread and home make cookies lovely. Our room was spacious and equipped to cook in a microwave pre-cooked meals from Woolworths at home -like our M&S food store, similar quality food and options and its only a walk or short drive away. I did pre-book parking and a dinner option with Judy when I booked our stay of 2 nights, over 10 months earlier but 2 days before both these become an issue which upset us. Thankfully they sorted the parking issue but nevertheless it shouldn't have arisen. They also placed our pre-bought lasagne in their oven which meant we could enjoy our packed full day out.
The lighting outside the downstairs double room kept me awake on our last night there and we were up at 5am for a flight, as there isn't any blackout curtains our blinds. I couldn't turn the lights out!
Decor and room was a little dated for our preferences.

Breakfast was very pleasant however, the fruit juice appeared very watery. Location was very good. Sadly we had spent two months in very comfortable accommodation which had spoilt us, so probably not fair to compare the two. Judy was very pleasant and I would certainly recommend her to other people. I think as a stay for one night it filled our needs.
