Wonderful stay at a great location

The location in the heart of Claremont was great, allowing me to walk to places like the nearby Palmyra Junction. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was excellent. Bottled water was provided daily, and a few small snacks alongside the coffee station. The desk came in handy as a workstation when I needed to pull out my laptop for anything. Breakfast was top notch as well. Sue, the hostess greeted me on arrival, and was always friendly, willing to have a chat or provide assistance where necessary. All in all a wonderful stay!

Relaxing time in Claremont

The room and venue was very clean. Tea and coffee available whenever you wanted it. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast is tasty and satisfying.

WiFi was a little slow but still useable for emails.

A peaceful, beautifully kept guesthouse with warm hospitality.

I stayed at The Victorian Goose for one night on a work trip and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The room was spotless, beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in was smooth and the host was friendly, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. The overall atmosphere was calm and homely — perfect after a long day. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cape Town for business or leisure.

This is a top class BnB. It is immaculate, extremely comfortable with lovely cosmetics and complimentary snacks. The breakfast is excellent with choices for cooked meals or healthy meals with fresh fruit. Highly recommended.

I loved the look and feel of the premises. The room was lovely and quiet and comfortable. The Victorian Goose also provided for the unexpected change in the weather and provided warm extra blankets. The warm welcome from the hostess herself made me feel like they had been waiting for me the whole day.

You do need to understand Cape Town traffic when exiting the road in which the entrance is on, but that is not the fault of the Victorian Goose - that is just Cape Town traffic.

Pleasant & relaxing 2 night stay in outskirts of Cape Town

Sue was a friendly & engaging host, quickly responding to questions about parking & restaurants prior to our stay. Enjoyed breakfast: fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, yogurt & cereals to help ourselves but cooked options available too. Weather good enough to sit outside on patio second day but not quite warm enough to swim in the pool. Comfortable bedroom but would book larger one with view of table mountain if available next time. Quiet suburb in good location for visiting botanic gardens.
