Where is Paradise on earth? Maybe here. Whatever ideas you may have had, they materialise here in this beautiful garden with living tortoises and birds and flowers and trees and some impressive mountains. Three different restaurants, new of last year is a gourmet Italian , Moril, serving South African wine based om Italian grapes, some times better than their origins. Third visit this time. Can’t wait for the next.

The grounds, the food magnificent, the staff (particularly Isanda and Owlam ?? On reception) exceptional, the room delightful with a view of Table Mountain.. Finally the cost, phenomenal value

All in all a good stay except for the decor in the room.

Checking in was a breeze as was checking out. The view is spectacular. The food was good as was the service. No one helped with my bags, but I actually prefer that.

The decor in the room is what made me only give this hotel a 'good' and not an 'excellent' score. The carpet in the room was appalling (visually - it was not dirty) and the wood on the cupboards and bathroom is very tired. All in all the decor left me underwhelmed. Considering the price I suppose it is not bad but for me the rooms need an update. If it had decent carpets and the wood was simply painted that would help. The jewellery shop had 'junk' jewellery. I am sure one of the jewellers in Cape Town would be happy to oblige with a display cabinet or perhaps a small shop.

Wonderful stay!

The staff—from reception to the breakfast and Morii restaurant teams—are incredibly friendly and make you feel truly welcome. My room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with lovely scented soaps. I especially enjoyed the peaceful garden walks, the stunning views from the pool and restaurant, and the well-equipped gym. The breakfast variety is impressive, and the food at Morii was delicious. A perfect, peaceful stay!

This one of the prettiest properties in cape town to stay at considering the amazing garden

Great place to stay before or after a roadtrip.

Large bed, big room, all very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet is spectacular.

It’s a bit expensive. Certainly compared to other hotels in SA. And the area is not very lively, but that is also an advantage.

A good stay, almost perfect, but some duty manager’s attitude unfortunately brought down the overall

We stayed in Room 142 at the Vineyard Hotel from Wednesday, 15 October 2025, to Monday, 20 October 2025, for our special 20th anniversary. As returning guests, we really enjoyed our stay once again. We love the hotel’s location, the facilities, and most of the staff, who always make the experience memorable.

What we didn’t like were the interactions with two of the duty managers, Evander and Jeanne. When we mentioned that the doors shut very loudly, which was extremely inconvenient, especially for light sleepers like me, and that we could clearly hear people laughing in the corridor during the night, their response was simply that there was nothing they could do about it. It wasn’t so much the lack of a solution that disappointed us, but the way they said it. Their attitude came across as dismissive and lacking empathy, which made us feel as though they didn’t care. We were not impressed with these duty managers at all. Because of this experience, we’re honestly not sure if we’ll return for a third stay. We could go somewhere else where we will be welcomed for sure.

A perfect few days.

An absolute gem - wish we could have stayed longer. Great breakfast. Excellent menu. Superb wine list. Delightful staff. Beautiful building. Even tortoises in the garden! Oh, and the gardens are just wonderful.
