Great location, very comfortable room, with great bathroom (bath & separate shower, hurrah) and wonderful views of the bay, but what really makes the difference, are the exceptionally warm and friendly staff! Everyone I interacted with, the car park attendants, reception staff, bar staff, waiter/tresses, and cleaners gave excellent customer service, that made one feel like a member of the family and not another anonymous guest. 5*

A super convenient and relaxing spot!! Good delicious food. 10/10

Perfect location! Right across from the beach and just a short stroll to all the shops. Lovely sized rooms, clean, fresh quality linen and towels. Friendly staff and waiters. Delicious sea food and presentation of all meals. Butter croissants at breakfast are so fresh and delicious.

The pool loungers could use an upgrade.(They covered in a shade cloth net material, and when putting your towel on, it makes you slide off. Housekeeping staff in the mornings are very loud talking in the passages waking the guests up because of high voices and laughing. I’d definitely add Coffee milkshakes, other flavour milkshakes and smoothies to the drinks menu. Breakfast buffet presentation of cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, fruits and juices can do with an upgrade. Maybe display it on a table rather than the bar counter. New dishes and jugs could be used.

Lovely little breakaway at Hout Bay Beach Hotel

We booked a sea view room and it was lovely. Very comfortable bed, spacious room and stunning view. Very friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast the next morning was great! I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel.

Check in easy. Room amazing. Beautiful view over Hout Bay. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Staff all very friendly and polite, nothing too much trouble.

A few more channels, preferably English films on the telly as I was poorly one night and was in the room on my own with nothing much to watch.

Big room. Stunning pool view and close to beach

The Pool had a dream view. Big Rooms. Breakfast a la carte. Small but good.

We booked rooms next to each other (4 months ago) but weren’t assigned them. And we received a room for disabled. When all the other rooms had better bathroom (separate toilet - 2 sinks). Another friend who booked super last minute to join us even was assigned a seaview room for cheaper than our non view. Book Seaview here !! It’s breathtaking view.

Fantastic place in Hout Bay

This is a fantastic place. Spacious rooms with fantastic views, the friendliest staff, and a very cosy bar and restaurant. Perfect to stay for a couple of nights in August. Loved everything about it. Breakfast was also very good.

Chapmans Peak. Great food relaxing atmosphere

It’s location, it’s helpful & friendly staff. Secure parking. Chapmans peak came highly recommended by my friends. And I have to say I wasn’t disappointed in any way whatsoever. Food is great. Breakfast is great. Popular with the locals at the weekend, as located at the bottom of Chapmans peak drive. A stunning mountain side drive on a smooth toll road. Coating R66 about £3. Again highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel where everybody meets you with a smile

In the middle of the good LIFE in Houtbay I was having the most fantastic stay I could think of - and extended it therefore with a few days. Spotlessly clean room with seaview, comfy bed, delicious breakfast, singing&swinging&sweet personel, nice restaurant, beautiful pool, safe parking in the shade, walking distance (across the road) to the beach. Baie dankie I will come back, with love to you all xxx

2nd floor sea view room was nice. 1st floor sea view room felt a little unsafe. Pool was spectacular and peaceful, food was great. staff were all lovely.

a door across the shower room would have been nice otherwise there is no privacy when in the shower. the moveable slatted wall is fine.
