Ich war mit Nichte und Neffe für zwei Nächte in Brüssel und habe für den Aufenthalt das Apartment gebucht. Wir waren vollkommen zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Alles war vorhanden: Handtücher, Föhn, Duschlotion, Shampoo. In der Küche gab es Spülmittel, Spülschwamm und Geschirrhandtuch, Für die Kaffeemaschine lagen zwei Kapseln bereit, die für das erste Frühstück ausreichen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr neu und ansprechend. Es stehen ein französisches Bett und ein Schlafsofa zur Verfügung. Das frz. Bett ist vom Wohn-/Küchenbereich durch eine ca. 1,10 m hohe Trennwand abgeteilt. Das kann auch den Fotos, die vom Vermieter bei Booking.com veröffentlicht sind, entnommen werden. Das Schlafsofa ist sehr bequem. Das Apartment liegt im zweiten Stockwerk - ohne Lift. Das sollte man berücksichtigen, wenn mit viel Gepäck gereist wird. Für unseren Aufenthalt - 2 Nächte - war das kein Problem. Wir sind mit leichtem Gepäck unterwegs gewesen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und nur wenige Schritte vom Grand Place entfernt. Nachts kann es durch die zahlreichen Passanten hin und wieder laut werden. Das hat uns weniger gestört und wir haben das in Kauf genommen - uns kam es auf die Lage an und dass wir viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen konnten. Die Umgebung ist geprägt von zahlreichen Gaststätten, die Speisen aus vielen Ländern anbieten.

Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden. Das einzige, was wir dem Vermieter empfehlen würden, ist, dass Informationen zur Verfügung stehen z. B. wo die Mülltonnen stehen. Und auch Info-Material über Brüssel (Stadtplan etc.) wäre prima.

The very large private apt. met my expectations and my expectations were high. I think the place was nearly brand new. Very modern. Lots of big windows - so lots of light. All the windows swung open. The back window was just to an open space between buildings but it allowed for cross air and light. All the big windows had black-out curtains as well as chiffon type coverings. Big bathroom. Separate toilet. Full kitchen with large fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, nesspresso machine (buy your own capsules) and everything so you could stay home and cook but why do that? It had a huge closet for probably 8 suitcases of clothes. Big flat screen tv - but who goes on vacation to watch tv? - Not me. Skylight spots all over the ceiling. Fantastic lighting in the bathroom. It was about a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 5 minute walk from Mannikin Piss. IF you opened the window and stuck your head out, you could easily see part of the the big main square just 2 streets away. The room was totally quite - I didn't hear any neighbors. Next time I come to Brussels - I will for sure rebook this room. I was with friends who booked a nice older hotel. It was 50 euro less than what I paid. It was farther away and a room just big enough to walk around the bed. Be aware that the bed is very firm and there is a fan but no air conditioner.

The negative part is that I didn't know how the hell to get in. Partly my fault. I didn't see the e-mail come into my phone explaining that I had to push in a 4 digit code into the main door at street level and then open a lock-box to get the key to the apartment. I would give 10 points if they had e mailed me this info the day before and not just minutes before my arrival. So no points for that. There was an iron but no ironing board. The site says washing machine but there wasn't. There was no hand soap, no shampoo, no conditioner, no hand/body cream - so be sure to bring those with you. I'm the kind of guy who will use a small hand towel 3 days in a row to protect the environment. For some reason, the towels smelled after 2 days. It could be because it was extremely hot and humid the week I was there. Maybe the towels could not dry out properly. I don't know, but luckily there were towels for 2 people so I had plenty. But there was no room service so if 2 people were using the room, you would be short of towels. If you are the kind of person who relies on communication between you and the owner/server provider - this place is not for you. I could not figure out how to put the key back into the lock box when I left. I don't have experience with them. I'm glad i could figure out how to get the key but i did not know if I was to put it back or what. I sent 4 e-mail to the apartment thru booking.com. I got no reply in return so I just left the key on the table and shut the door behind me. Don't lose the key or leave it behind because you wont be able to get back in. I notice some of the negative comments on the site of a strange vibration noise. I listened for it. Yes, it's true but very mild and it only happened when I was taking a shower. It would start up about 3 minutes after I turned the water on and it would slowly fade about 5 minutes after I was done with the water.
