Would not recommend this host.

Host informed us that the accommodation we had booked for as unavailable due to some reason as we landed in the country late afternoon and offered a different location 2.5km out of town as an alternative. We had no option but to stay there. Accomodation was dirty and unmaintained. On reading more recent reviews it appears we are not the only victims to this poor host. Host also not willing to offer any form of compensation for the inconvenience.

Sufficient

The property is located very close to the centre of Brussels and the Grand Place, which is just a few minutes walk away.

The photos on Booking do not correspond to the interiors of the apartment. The property is located at the same address but in a different building number than the one mentioned in the booking. The cleanliness of the house could definitely be better. The house looked superficially clean . The cleanliness in the kitchen and bathroom should have been more diligent. There were salts in the taps and bath, the bathroom mirror was not clean and similarly in the kitchen there was a lack of diligent cleaning . It would have been nice if there was at least a cream soap in the bathroom. The balcony door to the apartment was broken and we were informed before arrival that we should not open it. I think it should have been fixed so that you could use the balcony which was not clean , perhaps because the balcony door was broken some time before our arrival . We could not open the window in the double bedroom . We would not choose this accommodation again .

Somewhere between disappointment and meh

I should mention that although the apartment is in a great location, it had some downsides.

During our stay, the balcony door was broken, with a sign saying 'Do not open—out of order.' Additionally, the photos on the Booking.com listing did not belong to the apartment we stayed in. When we brought this up to the person who delivered the keys, they explained that they had many rental properties and the photos were general images of similar apartments. The overall cleanliness of the apartment was poor—the floors were dusty, and we even found items left behind by previous guests under furniture like the nightstand. Although the listing mentioned a dishwasher, there wasn’t one in the apartment. After we reported this, the host removed the dishwasher from the amenities on Booking.com. We also stayed at a different address than the one provided on Booking.com—the actual location did not match the listed address. Furthermore, while the listing stated there was a washing machine inside the apartment, it was actually located in the basement of the building and required an additional fee to use

Niet doen!!!

Dreigementen op annuleren van de accommodatie hun kant omdat ik vroeg voor een compensatie. Die vroeg ik na een gedoe rond het geboekte appartement. Daar konden we niet heen, dit kregen we 1,5uur voor aankomst te horen na dat ikzelf voor bevestiging van aankomst vroeg. Er zou een probleem met het water geweest zijn en het appartement was wat gedateerd. Ze stelde een alternatief voor, helemaal de andere kant van Brussel. Met zicht op het water vertelde mevrouw er met veel lef bij. Dicht bij het Noord station. Toen ik vertelde dat we dat echt niet wouden kwam er nog een ander alternatief... Dezelfde kant van Brussel maar iets dichter bij het centrum. Ja... Wat doe je dan... Toehappen want anders sta je op straat. Er werd aan toegevoegd ze hemel en aarde hadden verzet om iets voor ons te vinden en zelf kosten hadden gemaakt om dit te kunnen aanbieden... Zo naïef ben ik niet... Als je plots 2 alternatieve appartementen kunt aanbieden... Raar .... Toen ik naar een compensatie vroeg, had ik nog een leuker antwoord... Ze dreigde met "ik ga liever over tot een annulatie mevrouw, als u afkomt met compensatie terwijl wij hemel en aarde verzetten voor jullie" (weet dat dit allemaal slechts 1,5u voor check in is met geen enkele vorm van communicatie voordien en een groep mannen op komst vanuit Engeland.) ze pushen je gewoon in een richting met leugens. Ik zou bij deze mensen NIET boeken als ik u was... Je vraagt om problemen ... Ik had ook de andere reacties en beoordelingen beter geloofd ...

Un horror, sin poder descansar bien.

La ubicación.

No era el que yo alquilé. Sin luz en los pasillos,todo oscuro. Camas pequeñísima, habitación donde no podía moverme, la mesilla de noche a los pies de la cama y delante del armario. Sábanas con agugueritos y sin cambiar 7 dias que estuvimos. Las toallas sin cambiar y éramos 5 personas con 2 toallas de lavabos para todos,sin cambiar. Papel higiénico insuficiente. Ofrecían lavavajillas, y lo que tenia era un estropajo y un bote con el final ,tuvimos que comprar uno nuevo. Ofrecían lavadora y secadora, y no había. El tendedero estaba en una terraza y la puerta estaba estropeada, no teníamos tendedero. Por supuesto nos alquilaron el número 36, pero nos dieron el 38. Un horror de semana. Además muy caro.

Tres déçue par la saleté du lieu

Seul l’emplacement du lieu est bien

L’appartement est très sale, sols (tâches sur le parquet, poussière et restes de nourriture); en travaux, la salle de bain n’est par terminée une partie du mur n’est pas carrelée et quand on se douche le ciment tombe dans la baignoire. La baignoire est vétuste avec une grosse auréole de crasse dans le fond de celle-ci; le rideau de douche est sale avec des taches jaunâtres et de moisissures. Le toilette n’est pas nettoyé notamment la lunette fortement tachée. La ventilation intérieure des toilettes et de la salle de bain est mal réglée ce qui fait que cela fait un bruit de dingue la nuit. Les vitres étaient salles notamment la baie vitrée du salon. La porte fenêtre était cassée non réparée. Dans les lits, nous avons retrouvé des Kleenex usagers donc les draps n’avaient pas été changés. En fait l’annonce ne reflète pas ce qu’est vraiment l’appartement. Il est fonctionnel oui surtout pas “charming” et est très cher pour la prestation.
